創世記 Genesis 32:1-34:31
32:1
雅各仍舊行路，神的眾使者遇見他。
And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
32:2
雅各看見他們就說，這是神的軍營，於是給那地方起名叫瑪哈念。
And Jacob said when he saw them, This is God's camp. So he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
32:3
雅各打發報信的人先往西珥地，以東鄉間，見他哥哥以掃；
And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother, into the land of Seir, the field of Edom.
32:4
他吩咐他們說，你們要對我主以掃這樣說：你的僕人雅各這樣說，我在拉班那裏寄居，直留到如今。
And he commanded them, saying, Thus you shall say to my lord Esau: Thus says your servant Jacob, I have sojourned with Laban and stayed until now;
32:5
我有牛、驢、羊群、僕人、婢女，現在打發人來報告我主，為要在你眼前蒙恩。
And I have oxen and donkeys and flocks, and male servants and female servants; and I have sent to tell my lord this, that I may find favor in your sight.
32:6
報信的人回到雅各那裏，說，我們到了你哥哥以掃那裏，他正迎著你來，同他一起的有四百人。
And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to your brother Esau, and he also is coming to meet you; and four hundred men are with him.
32:7
雅各就甚懼怕，而且愁煩，便把那與他同在的人口和羊群、牛群、駱駝分作兩隊，
Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed; and he divided the people who were with him and the flocks and the herds and the camels into two camps;
32:8
說，以掃若來擊殺這一隊，剩下的那一隊還可以逃避。
And he said, If Esau comes to the one camp and attacks it, then the camp which is left will escape.
32:9
雅各說，耶和華我祖亞伯拉罕的神，我父親以撒的神阿，你曾對我說，回你本地，到你親族那裏去，我要善待你。
Then Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, O Jehovah, who said to me, Return to your country and to your relatives, and I will do you good,
32:10
你向僕人所施的一切慈愛和信實，我一點也不配得；我先前只拿著我的杖過這約但河，如今我卻成了兩隊。
I am not worthy of all the lovingkindnesses and of all the faithfulness which You have shown to Your servant, for with my staff only I crossed over this Jordan, and now I have become two camps.
32:11
求你救我脫離我哥哥以掃的手；因為我怕他來擊殺我，連妻子帶兒女一同擊殺了。
Deliver me, please, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau, for I fear him, lest he come and attack me, even the mother with the children.
32:12
你曾說，我必定善待你，使你的後裔如同海沙，多得不可勝數。
But You have said, I will surely do you good and make your seed like the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
32:13
當夜，雅各在那裏住宿，就從他所有的物中拿禮物要送給他哥哥以掃：
And he spent that night there. Then from what he had with him he took a present for Esau his brother:
32:14
母山羊二百隻，公山羊二十只，母綿羊二百隻，公綿羊二十只，
Two hundred female goats and twenty male goats, two hundred ewes and twenty rams,
32:15
奶崽子的駱駝三十只，各帶著崽子，母牛四十只，公牛十隻，母驢二十匹，公驢十匹；
Thirty nursing camels and their young, forty cows and ten bulls, twenty female donkeys and ten male donkeys.
32:16
每樣各分一群，交在僕人手下，就對僕人說，你們要在我前頭過去，使一群一群之間有個距離；
And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by itself, and said to his servants, Cross over before me, and put a space between each drove.
32:17
又吩咐儘先走的說，我哥哥以掃遇見你的時候，問你說，你是那家的人？要往那裏去？你前頭這些牲畜是誰的？
And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meets you and asks you, saying, To whom do you belong? And where are you going? And whose animals are these before you?
32:18
你就說，是你僕人雅各的，是送給我主以掃的禮物；他自己也在我們後邊。
Then you will say, Your servant Jacob's; it is a present sent to my lord Esau; and now he also is behind us.
32:19
又吩咐第二、第三、和一切趕群畜的人說，你們遇見以掃的時候，也要這樣對他說；
And he commanded also the second and the third, and all who followed the droves, saying, In this way you shall speak to Esau when you find him,
32:20
並且你們要說，你僕人雅各就在我們後邊。因為雅各心裏說，我藉著在我前頭去的禮物解他的恨，然後再見他的面，或者他會接納我。
And you shall also say, Your servant Jacob is right behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face; perhaps he will accept me.
32:21
於是禮物在他前頭過去了；那夜，他在隊中住宿。
So the present crossed over before him, and he himself spent that night in the camp.
32:22
他夜間起來，帶著兩個妻子，兩個使女，並十一個兒子，過雅博渡口。
And he rose up that night and took his two wives and his two female servants and his eleven children and crossed over the ford of the Jabbok.
32:23
他帶著他們，打發他們過河，又打發所有的都過去。
And he took them and sent them over the stream and sent over what he had.
32:24
只剩下雅各一人，有一個人和他摔跤，直到黎明。
And Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until the break of dawn.
32:25
那人見自己勝不過他，就將他的大腿窩摸了一把；雅各正與那人摔跤的時候，他的大腿窩就脫了節。
And when the man saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was dislocated as he wrestled with Him.
32:26
那人說，天快亮了，讓我去罷。雅各卻說，你若不給我祝福，我就不讓你去。
And the man said, Let Me go, for the dawn is breaking. But Jacob said, I will not let You go unless You bless me.
32:27
那人對他說，你名叫甚麼？他說，我名叫雅各。
And He said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob.
32:28
那人說，你的名不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列；因為你與神與人較力，都得了勝。
And He said, Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed.
32:29
雅各問祂說，請將你的名告訴我。但那人說，你何必問我的名？於是祂在那裏給雅各祝福。
And Jacob asked Him and said, Please tell me Your name. But He said, Why is it that you ask My name? And He blessed him there.
32:30
雅各便給那地方起名叫毗努伊勒，因為他說，我面對面看見了神，我的性命仍得保全。
And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, for, he said, I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been preserved.
32:31
日頭升起，照在雅各身上，那時他渡過毗努伊勒，他的大腿就瘸了。
And the sun rose upon him as he crossed over Penuel, and he limped because of his hip.
32:32
故此，以色列人不喫大腿窩的筋，直到今日，因為那人摸了雅各大腿窩的筋。
Therefore the children of Israel do not eat the thigh muscle, which is upon the socket of the hip, to this day, because He touched the socket of Jacob's hip at the thigh muscle.
33:1
雅各舉目觀看，見以掃來了，同他一起的有四百人。他就把孩子們分開交給利亞、拉結、和兩個使女，
And Jacob lifted up his eyes and looked, and there was Esau coming, and four hundred men with him. So he divided the children among Leah and among Rachel and among the two female servants.
33:2
並且叫兩個使女和她們的孩子在前面，利亞和她的孩子在後面，拉結和約瑟在最後面。
And he put the female servants and their children in front, and Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph last.
33:3
他自己在他們前頭過去，一連七次俯伏在地，直到就近他哥哥。
And he himself passed on before them and bowed down to the ground seven times until he came near to his brother.
33:4
以掃跑來迎接他，將他抱住，又伏在他的頸項上，與他親嘴，兩個人就哭了。
And Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.
33:5
以掃舉目看見婦人孩子，就說，這些和你同行的是誰？雅各說，這些孩子是神施恩給你僕人的。
And he lifted up his eyes and saw the women and the children and said, Who are these with you? And he said, The children whom God has graciously given your servant.
33:6
於是兩個使女和她們的孩子前來下拜；
Then the female servants came near, they and their children, and they bowed down.
33:7
利亞和她的孩子也前來下拜；隨後約瑟和拉結也前來下拜。
And Leah also came near with her children, and they bowed down; and afterward Joseph came near with Rachel, and they bowed down.
33:8
以掃說，我所遇見的這一整隊是甚麼意思？雅各說，是要在我主眼前蒙恩的。
And Esau said, What do you mean by all this camp which I met? And he said, To find favor in the sight of my lord.
33:9
以掃說，弟弟阿，我的已經彀了，你的仍歸你罷。
And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; let what you have be yours.
33:10
雅各說，不然，我若在你眼前蒙恩，就求你從我手裏收下這禮物；因為我看見你的面，如同看見神的面，並且你悅納了我。
And Jacob said, No, please, if now I have found favor in your sight, then take my present from my hand; for I see your face as one sees the face of God, and you have received me favorably.
33:11
求你收下我帶來給你的禮物；因為神恩待了我，並且我一切都有了。雅各再三的求他，他才收下了。
Please take my blessing which has been brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have all that I need. So he urged him, and he took it.
33:12
以掃說，我們可以起身前去，我要在你前頭走。
Then Esau said, Let us take our journey and go, and I will go before you.
33:13
雅各對他說，我主知道孩子們年幼嬌嫩，正在乳養的牛羊也是我所掛心的，若是催趕一天，群畜都必死了。
And he said to him, My lord knows that the children are frail and that the nursing flocks and herds are a concern to me; and if they overdrive them for one day, all the flock will die.
33:14
求我主在僕人前頭走，我要按著在我前面群畜和孩子們的步速慢慢前行，直走到西珥我主那裏。
Let my lord please pass on before his servant, and I will lead on slowly according to the pace of the cattle which are before me and according to the pace of the children until I come to my lord at Seir.
33:15
以掃說，讓我把跟隨我的人留幾個在你這裏。雅各說，何必呢？只要在我主眼前蒙恩就是了。
So Esau said, Let me please leave with you some of the people who are with me. And he said, What need is there? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.
33:16
於是，以掃當日起行，回西珥去了。
So Esau returned that day on his way to Seir.
33:17
雅各就往疏割去，在那裏為自己蓋造一座房屋，又為牲畜搭棚；因此那地方名叫疏割。
And Jacob journeyed to Succoth and built a house for himself and made booths for his livestock; therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
33:18
雅各從巴旦亞蘭回來的時候，平平安安的到了迦南地的示劍城，在城對面支搭帳棚，
And Jacob came safely to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Paddan-aram; and he camped before the city.
33:19
就用一百塊銀子向示劍的父親哈抹的子孫，買了支帳棚的那塊地，
And he bought the piece of land where he had pitched his tent from the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for a hundred qesitahs.
33:20
在那裏築了一座壇，起名叫伊利伊羅伊以色列。
And there he erected an altar and called it El-Elohe-Israel.
34:1
利亞給雅各所生的女兒底拿出去，要見那地的女子們。
And Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.
34:2
那地的族長希未人哈抹的兒子示劍看見她，就拉住她，與她同寢，玷辱了她。
And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her, he took her and lay with her and humbled her.
34:3
示劍的心繫戀雅各的女兒底拿，愛這少女，甜言蜜語的安慰她。
And his soul clung to Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the girl and spoke affectionately to the girl.
34:4
示劍對他父親哈抹說，求你為我聘這女孩子為妻。
And Shechem spoke to his father Hamor, saying, Get me this young girl as a wife.
34:5
雅各聽見示劍玷污了他的女兒底拿；那時他的兒子們正和群畜在田野，雅各就不作聲，等他們回來。
Now when Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter, his sons were with his livestock in the field; so Jacob kept silent until they came in.
34:6
示劍的父親哈抹出來見雅各，要和他商議。
And Hamor the father of Shechem went out to Jacob to speak with him.
34:7
雅各的兒子們聽見這事，就從田野回來，人人悲憤，極其惱怒；因為示劍在以色列家作了愚妄的事，與雅各的女兒同寢，這本是不該作的事。
And the sons of Jacob came in from the field when they heard of it. And the men were grieved and became very angry, because he had committed folly in Israel by lying with Jacob's daughter, for such a thing ought not to be done.
34:8
哈抹和他們商議說，我兒子示劍的心戀慕你們的女兒，求你們將她給我的兒子為妻。
And Hamor spoke with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longs for your daughter; please give her to him as a wife.
34:9
你們與我們彼此結親，你們可以把女兒嫁給我們，也可以娶我們的女兒。
And make marriages with us: Give your daughters to us, and take our daughters for yourselves.
34:10
你們與我們同住罷。這地都在你們面前，只管住下來，在這裏作買賣，置產業。
And you shall dwell with us, and the land will be before you; dwell and trade in it, and acquire holdings in it.
34:11
示劍對少女的父親和弟兄們說，但願我在你們眼前蒙恩，你們向我要甚麼，我必給你們。
And Shechem said to her father and to her brothers, Let me find favor in your sight, and whatever you say to me I will give.
34:12
任憑向我要多重的聘金和禮物，我必照你們向我所說的給你們；只要把少女給我為妻。
Impose upon me a very large bridal price and gift, and I will give whatever you say to me; but give me the girl as a wife.
34:13
雅各的兒子們因為示劍玷污了他們的姊妹底拿，就用詭詐的話回答示劍和他父親哈抹，
Then the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully; and because he had defiled Dinah their sister they spoke,
34:14
對他們說，我們不能作這事，把我們的姊妹給沒有受割禮的人為妻，因為那是我們的羞辱。
And said to them, We are not able to do this thing, to give our sister to one who is uncircumcised, for that would be a reproach to us.
34:15
惟有一件事你們必須作，我們才可以應允：若你們所有的男丁都受割禮，和我們一樣，
Only on this condition will we consent to you: If you become like us, and every male among you is circumcised,
34:16
我們就把女兒嫁給你們，也娶你們的女兒；我們便與你們同住，成為一樣的人民。
Then we will give our daughters to you, and will take your daughters for ourselves; and we will dwell with you and become one people.
34:17
倘若你們不聽我們，不受割禮，我們就帶著我們的姊妹走了。
But if you will not listen to us and be circumcised, then we will take our daughter and go.
34:18
哈抹和他的兒子示劍認為這話甚好。
And their words seemed good to Hamor and Shechem, Hamor's son.
34:19
那少年人作這事並不遲延，因為他喜愛雅各的女兒；他在他父親家中也是人最尊重的。
And the young man did not delay to do the thing, because he delighted in Jacob's daughter. Now he was honored above all the house of his father.
34:20
哈抹和他兒子示劍到本城的門口，對本城的人說，
And Hamor and Shechem his son came to the gate of their city and spoke with the men of their city, saying,
34:21
這些人與我們和睦相處，不如讓他們在這地居住，作買賣；這地也寬闊，足可容納他們。我們可以娶他們的女兒為妻，也可以把我們的女兒嫁給他們。
These men are with us peacefully; therefore let them dwell in the land and trade in it, for here the land is large enough for them. Let us take their daughters for ourselves as wives, and let us give them our daughters.
34:22
惟有一件事我們必須作，他們才應允和我們同住，成為一樣的人民，就是我們中間所有的男丁都受割禮，和他們一樣。
Only on this condition will the men consent to us to dwell with us, to become one people: that every male among us be circumcised as they are circumcised.
34:23
他們的群畜、財物、和一切的牲口豈不都歸我們麼？只要依從他們，他們就與我們同住。
Will not their livestock and their property and all their animals be ours? Only let us consent to them, and they will dwell with us.
34:24
凡從城門出入的人，就都聽從哈抹和他兒子示劍的話；於是凡從城門出入的男丁都受了割禮。
And all who went out of the gate of his city listened to Hamor and to Shechem his son; and every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.
34:25
到第三天，眾人正在疼痛的時候，雅各的兩個兒子，就是底拿的哥哥西緬和利未，各拿刀劍，趁著眾人想不到的時候，來到城中，把一切男丁都殺了，
Then on the third day, when they were still in pain, two of Jacob's sons, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brothers, each took his sword and came upon the city unawares, and slew every male.
34:26
又用刀殺了哈抹和他兒子示劍，把底拿從示劍家裏帶出來走了。
And they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and they took Dinah out of Shechem's house and went away.
34:27
雅各的兒子們因為他們的姊妹受了玷污，就來到被殺的人那裏，擄掠那城，
The sons of Jacob came upon the slain and plundered the city, because they had defiled their sister.
34:28
奪了他們的羊群、牛群和驢，並城裏田間所有的；
They took their flocks and their herds and their donkeys and whatever was in the city and whatever was in the field;
34:29
又把他們的一切財產、小孩、婦女，並房屋中所有的，都擄掠去了。
And they took captive and plundered all their wealth and all their little ones and their wives, and even all that was in the houses.
34:30
雅各對西緬和利未說，你們連累我，使我在這地的居民中，就是在迦南人和比利洗人中，有了臭名。我的人丁既然稀少，他們必聚集來攻擊我，我和全家的人都必滅絕。
And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, You have brought trouble upon me by making me odious among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites; and I am few in number, and they will gather themselves together against me and strike me; and I will be destroyed, I and my house.
34:31
他們說，他豈可待我們的姊妹如同妓女麼？
And they said, Should he treat our sister like a harlot?

馬太福音 Matthew 11:2-30
11:2
這時，約翰在監裏聽見基督所作的，就要他的門徒帶話去，
Now when John heard in the prison of the works of the Christ, he sent word through his disciples
11:3
問祂說，那要來者是你麼？還是我們該期待別人？
And said to Him, Are You the Coming One, or should we expect another?
11:4
耶穌回答他們說，你們去，把所聞所見的報告約翰，
And Jesus answered and said to them, Go, report to John the things that you hear and see:
11:5
就是瞎子看見，瘸子行走，患麻風的得潔淨，聾子聽見，死人復活，窮人有福音傳給他們。
The blind receive their sight and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; and the dead are raised and the poor have the gospel announced to them;
11:6
凡不因我絆跌的，就有福了。
And blessed is he who is not stumbled because of Me.
11:7
他們走了，耶穌就對群眾講論約翰說，你們從前出到曠野，要看甚麼？被風吹動的蘆葦麼？
And as these went away, Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning John, What did you go out into the wilderness to look at? A reed shaken by the wind?
11:8
你們出去，到底要看甚麼？穿細軟衣服的人麼？看哪，那穿細軟衣服的人，是在王宮裏。
But what did you go out to see? A man arrayed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in the houses of kings.
11:9
你們出去究竟為甚麼？要看申言者麼？我告訴你們，是的，他比申言者大多了。
But why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.
11:10
這人就是經上所記的，“看哪，我在你面前差遣我的使者，他要在你前面豫備你的道路。”
This is he concerning whom it is written, "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You.''
11:11
我實在告訴你們，婦人所生的，沒有一個興起來大過施浸者約翰的；然而在諸天的國裏最小的比他還大。
Truly I say to you, Among those born of women there has not arisen one greater than John the Baptist, yet he who is least in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he.
11:12
可是，從施浸者約翰的日子直到現在，諸天的國是強力奪取的，強力的人就奪得了。
But from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of the heavens is taken by violence, and violent men seize it.
11:13
因為眾申言者和律法申言，到約翰為止；
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John;
11:14
你們若肯接受，他就是那要來的以利亞。
And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah, who is to come.
11:15
有耳可聽的，就應當聽。
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
11:16
但我可把這世代比作甚麼？好比孩童坐在市場上，招呼另一些孩童說，
But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like little children sitting in the marketplaces, who call to the others
11:17
我們向你們吹笛，你們不跳舞；我們哀歌，你們不捶胸。
And say, We have played the flute to you, and you did not dance; we have sung a dirge, and you did not mourn.
11:18
約翰來了，不喫不喝，人就說，他有鬼附著。
For John came neither eating nor drinking; and they say, He has a demon.
11:19
人子來了，也喫也喝，人又說，看哪，一個貪食好酒的人，一個稅吏和罪人的朋友。但智慧從她的行為得稱為義。
The Son of Man came eating and drinking; and they say, Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners. Yet wisdom is justified by her works.
11:20
那時，耶穌開始責備那些祂曾在其中行過大多數異能的城，因為她們沒有悔改：
Then He began to reproach the cities in which most of His works of power took place, because they did not repent:
11:21
哥拉汛哪，你有禍了！伯賽大啊，你有禍了！因為在你們中間所行的異能，若行在推羅、西頓，她們早已披麻蒙灰悔改了。
Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the works of power which took place in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
11:22
但我告訴你們，在審判的日子，推羅、西頓所受的，比你們所受的還容易。
But I say to you, It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.
11:23
還有你，迦百農啊，你已經被高舉到天上，你必墜落到陰間。因為在你那裏所行的異能，若行在所多瑪，她必會存留到今天。
And you, Capernaum, who have been exalted to heaven, to Hades you will be brought down. For if the works of power which took place in you had taken place in Sodom, it would have remained until today.
11:24
但我告訴你們，在審判的日子，所多瑪地所受的，比你所受的還容易。
But I say to you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.
11:25
那時，耶穌回答說，父啊，天地的主，我頌揚你，因為你將這些事，向智慧通達人藏起來，向嬰孩卻啟示出來。
At that time Jesus answered and said, I extol You, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.
11:26
父啊，是的，因為在你眼中看為美的，本是如此。
Yes, Father, for thus it has been well-pleasing in Your sight.
11:27
我父已將一切都交付了我；除了父，沒有人認識子；除了子和子所願意啟示的，也沒有人認識父。
All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and him to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
11:28
凡勞苦擔重擔的，可以到我這裏來，我必使你們得安息。
Come to Me all who toil and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
11:29
我心裏柔和謙卑，因此你們要負我的軛，且要跟我學，你們魂裏就必得安息；
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
11:30
因為我的軛是容易的，我的擔子是輕省的。
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
