6:1
以色列人又行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，耶和華就把他們交在米甸人手裏七年。
Then the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and Jehovah delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven years.
6:2
米甸人的手壓制以色列人；以色列人因米甸人的緣故，就在山中為自己挖穴、挖洞、建造營寨。
And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel. Because of Midian the children of Israel made for themselves the dens which are in the mountains as well as the caves and the strongholds.
6:3
以色列人每逢撒種之後，米甸人、亞瑪力人、和東方人都上來攻打他們，
And whenever Israel sowed its seed, Midian rose up with Amalek and the children of the east, and went up against them.
6:4
對著他們安營，毀壞地的出產，直到迦薩，沒有在以色列中留下食物，羊、牛、驢也沒有留下；
And they encamped against them and destroyed the produce of the land until you come to Gaza, and they left no sustenance in Israel, or sheep or ox or donkey.
6:5
因為那些人帶著牲畜和帳棚上來，像蝗蟲那樣多，人和駱駝無數，都進入境內，毀壞那地。
For they went up with their cattle and their tents and came in like a locust swarm in number; both they and their camels were without number. And they came into the land to destroy it.
6:6
以色列人因米甸人的緣故，極其窮乏；以色列人就哀求耶和華。
And Israel was greatly impoverished because of Midian. And the children of Israel cried out to Jehovah.
6:7
當以色列人因米甸人的緣故，哀求耶和華時，
And when the children of Israel cried out to Jehovah because of Midian,
6:8
耶和華就差遣一位申言者到以色列人那裏，對他們說，耶和華以色列的神如此說，我曾領你們從埃及上來，帶你們從為奴之家出來，
Jehovah sent a man who was a prophet to the children of Israel. And he said to them, Thus says Jehovah the God of Israel, It was I who brought you up out of Egypt and brought you out from the slave house;
6:9
救你們脫離埃及人的手，並脫離一切欺壓你們之人的手，把他們從你們面前趕出，將他們的地賜給你們；
And I delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of all who oppressed you. And I drove them out before you and gave you their land.
6:10
又對你們說，我是耶和華你們的神；你們住在亞摩利人的地，不可敬畏他們的神。你們竟不聽從我的話。
And I said to you, I am Jehovah your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But you did not listen to My voice.
6:11
耶和華的使者來到俄弗拉，在那裏坐在屬於亞比以謝人約阿施的橡樹下；約阿施的兒子基甸正在酒醡那裏打麥子，為要逃躲米甸人。
And the Angel of Jehovah came and sat under the terebinth that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while Gideon his son was beating out the wheat in the winepress in order to hide it from the Midianites.
6:12
耶和華的使者向基甸顯現，對他說，大能的勇士，耶和華與你同在。
And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to him and said to him, Jehovah is with you, valiant warrior.
6:13
基甸說，我主，請容我說，耶和華若與我們同在，我們何至遭遇這一切事呢？我們的列祖向我們敘述的，耶和華一切奇妙的作為在那裏呢？他們說，耶和華豈不是領我們從埃及上來麼？現在祂卻丟棄我們，將我們交在米甸人的手中。
And Gideon said to Him, Please, my lord, if Jehovah is with us, then why has all this happened to us? And where are all His wondrous deeds that our fathers recount to us, saying, Did not Jehovah bring us up out of Egypt? But now Jehovah has abandoned us and delivered us into the hand of Midian.
6:14
耶和華面向基甸，說，你靠著你這能力去拯救以色列人脫離米甸人的手，不是我差遣你去的麼？
Then Jehovah turned to him and said, Go in this strength of yours, and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Indeed I have sent you.
6:15
基甸說，主阿，請容我說，我憑甚麼拯救以色列人呢？我的家族在瑪拿西支派中是至貧窮的，我在我的父家又是至微小的。
And he said to Him, Please, Lord, by what way can I save Israel? My clan here is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
6:16
耶和華對他說，我必與你同在，你必擊打米甸人，如擊打一人一樣。
And Jehovah said to him, Surely I will be with you, and you will strike the Midianites as one man.
6:17
基甸說，我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你給我顯一個證據，使我知道是你與我說話。
And he said to him, If now I have found favor in Your sight, perform a sign for me that it is You who are speaking with me.
6:18
求你不要離開這裏，等我回到你這裏，將禮物帶來擺在你面前。祂說，我必等你回來。
Do not depart from here until I come to you and bring my present and set it before you. And He said, I will remain until you return.
6:19
於是基甸去豫備了一隻山羊羔，用一伊法細麵作了無酵餅，將肉放在筐內，把湯盛在壺中，帶到橡樹下使者那裏獻上。
So Gideon went and prepared a kid and an ephah of flour in unleavened cakes. He put the flesh in a basket and put the broth in a pot, and he brought it out to Him under the terebinth. And he presented it.
6:20
神的使者對基甸說，將肉和無酵餅放在這磐石上，把湯倒出來。他就這樣行了。
And the Angel of God said to him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and put them on this rock; and pour out the broth. And he did so.
6:21
耶和華的使者伸出手內的杖，杖頭挨了肉和無酵餅，就有火從磐石中上來，燒盡了肉和無酵餅。耶和華的使者就不見了。
And the Angel of Jehovah put forth the end of the staff that was in His hand and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes. And fire came up from the rock and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. And the Angel of Jehovah went from his sight.
6:22
基甸見祂是耶和華的使者，就說，哀哉！主耶和華阿，我不好了，因為我面對面看見了耶和華的使者。
And Gideon saw that He was the Angel of Jehovah. And Gideon said, Alas, O Lord Jehovah! For I have seen the Angel of Jehovah face to face.
6:23
耶和華對他說，你安心，不要懼怕，你必不至於死。
And Jehovah said to him, Peace be with you. Do not be afraid; you shall not die.
6:24
於是基甸在那裏為耶和華築了一座壇，起名叫耶和華沙龍。這壇到如今還在亞比以謝族的俄弗拉。
Then Gideon built an altar there to Jehovah, and he called it Jehovah-shalom. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
6:25
當那夜，耶和華對基甸說，你取你父親的牛來，就是那七歲的第二隻牛，並且拆毀你父親為巴力所築的壇，砍下壇旁的木像，
And that night Jehovah said to him, Take your father's bull, that is, the second bull, seven years old; and tear down the altar of Baal that belongs to your father, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it.
6:26
在這保障頂上整整齊齊的為耶和華你的神築一座壇，將第二隻牛獻為燔祭，用你所砍下的木像作柴。
And build an altar to Jehovah your God upon the top of this stronghold in the ordered manner. Then take that second bull, and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah that you will cut down.
6:27
基甸就從他僕人中挑了十個人，照著耶和華告訴他的行了。他因怕父家和本城的人，不敢在白晝行事，就在夜間行了。
So Gideon took ten men from among his servants and did as Jehovah had told him. But because he was too afraid of his father's house and the men of the city to do it by day, he did it at night.
6:28
城裏的人清早起來，見巴力的壇拆毀，壇旁的木像砍下，第二隻牛獻在新築的壇上，
And when the men of the city rose up early in the morning, there was the altar of Baal, broken down; and the Asherah beside it was cut down. And the second bull had been offered upon the altar that had been built.
6:29
就彼此說，這事是誰作的？他們查究尋訪之後，就說，這是約阿施的兒子基甸作的。
And they said to one another, Who has done this thing? And after they inquired and sought about, they said, Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.
6:30
城裏的人對約阿施說，將你兒子交出來，好治死他；因為他拆毀了巴力的壇，砍下壇旁的木像。
Then the men of the city said to Joash, Bring out your son that he may die, for he has broken down the altar of Baal and cut down the Asherah beside it.
6:31
約阿施對站著攻擊他的眾人說，你們是為巴力爭辯麼？你們要救他麼？誰為他爭辯，就要趁著早晨將誰處死。巴力若是神，有人拆毀他的壇，讓他為自己爭辯罷。
And Joash said to all who stood against him, Will you contend for Baal? Or will you save him? Whoever contends for him will be put to death while it is still morning. If he is a god, let him contend for himself; for his altar has been broken down.
6:32
所以當日人稱基甸為耶路巴力，意思說，他拆毀巴力的壇，讓巴力與他爭辯。
Therefore on that day he named Gideon Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal contend against him, for he has broken down his altar.
6:33
那時，所有的米甸人、亞瑪力人、和東方人都聚集過河，在耶斯列谷安營。
Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east gathered together, and they crossed over and encamped in the valley of Jezreel.
6:34
耶和華的靈披戴在基甸身上，他就吹角；亞比以謝族都應召跟隨他。
And the Spirit of Jehovah clothed Gideon; and he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites were called up behind him.
6:35
他打發使者到全瑪拿西，瑪拿西人也應召跟隨他。他又打發使者到亞設、西布倫、拿弗他利，那些地方的人也都上來與他們會合。
And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, and they were also called up behind him. And he sent messengers throughout Asher and Zebulun and Naphtali, and they went up to meet them.
6:36
基甸對神說，你若照著你所說的，要藉我的手拯救以色列，
And Gideon said to God, If indeed You will save Israel through my hand, as You have said,
6:37
我就把一團羊毛放在禾場上：若單是羊毛上有露水，而地上都是乾的，我就知道你要照著你所說的，藉我的手拯救以色列。
I am laying here a fleece of wool on the threshing floor: If there is dew on the fleece alone and it is dry on all the ground, I will know that You will save Israel through my hand, as You have said.
6:38
次日基甸清早起來，見果然是這樣；他將羊毛擠一擠，從羊毛中擰出滿盆的露水來。
And so it happened. When he rose up early the next morning and squeezed the fleece, he wrung dew from the fleece, a bowlful of water.
6:39
基甸又對神說，求你不要向我發怒，我再說這一次：讓我將羊毛再試一次。但願只有羊毛是乾的，而地上都有露水。
Then Gideon said to God, May Your anger not burn against me, but allow me to speak only this one time. Allow me to make this test with the fleece only this one time. Let it be dry on the fleece only, and let there be dew on all the ground.
6:40
這夜神也如此行，只有羊毛是乾的，而地上都有露水。
And God did so that night, so that it was dry on the fleece only and there was dew on all the ground.
7:1
耶路巴力，就是基甸，和一切跟隨的人清早起來，在哈律泉旁安營。米甸營在他們北邊的山谷，靠近摩利岡。
Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him rose early and encamped beside the spring of Harod. And the camp of Midian was to their north, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.
7:2
耶和華對基甸說，跟隨你的人太多，我不能將米甸人交在他們手中，免得以色列人向我誇大，說，是我們自己的手救了我們。
And Jehovah said to Gideon, The people with you are too many for Me to deliver Midian into their hand; Israel might vaunt himself against Me, saying, My own hand has saved me.
7:3
現在你要宣告使百姓聽見，說，凡懼怕戰慄的，可以離開這裏回去。於是有二萬二千人回去，只剩下一萬。
Now then proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, Whoever is afraid and trembling should return and depart from here. And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained.
7:4
耶和華對基甸說，人還是太多；你要帶他們下到水旁，我好在那裏為你試試他們。我指著誰對你說，這人可以同你去，他就可以同你去；我指著誰對你說，這人不可同你去，他就不可同你去。
Then Jehovah said to Gideon, The people are still too many. Bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. And he of whom I say to you, This one shall go with you, he shall go with you. And every one of whom I say to you, This one shall not go with you, he shall not go.
7:5
基甸就帶他們下到水旁。耶和華對基甸說，凡用舌頭舔水，像狗舔的，要使他單站在一處；凡屈膝跪下喝水的，也要使他單站在一處。
So he brought the people down to the water. And Jehovah said to Gideon, Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart; likewise everyone who bows down on his knees to drink.
7:6
於是用手捧到嘴邊舔水的有三百人，其餘的人都屈膝跪下喝水。
And the number of those who lapped the water into their mouth with their hand was three hundred men, but the rest of the people bowed down on their knees to drink water.
7:7
耶和華對基甸說，我要用這舔水的三百人拯救你們，將米甸人交在你手中；其餘的人都可以各歸各處去。
And Jehovah said to Gideon, Through the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and I will deliver Midian into your hand. But let all the other people go, each to his own place.
7:8
這三百人就帶著食物和角；其餘的以色列人，基甸都打發他們各歸各的帳棚，只留下這三百人。米甸營在他下邊的山谷裏。
Then the people took provisions in their hand and their trumpets; and he sent all the men of Israel away, each to his own tent, but retained the three hundred men. And the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.
7:9
當那夜，耶和華對基甸說，起來，下去攻營，因我已將那營交在你手中。
And that night Jehovah said to him, Arise; go down against the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand.
7:10
倘若你怕下去，就帶你的僕人普拉下到營那裏去。
But if you are afraid to go down, go down with Purah your young man into the camp;
7:11
你必聽見他們所說的，然後你的手就必得加強，你就能下去攻營。於是基甸帶著僕人普拉下到營邊，靠近部隊。
And you will hear what they are saying. Then afterward your hands will be strengthened so that you can go down against the camp. So he went down with Purah his young man to the edge of the battle array that was in the camp.
7:12
米甸人、亞瑪力人、和一切東方人都散佈在山谷中，如同蝗蟲那樣多；他們的駱駝無數，多如海邊的沙。
Now the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay in the valley like a locust swarm in multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand on the seashore is in multitude.
7:13
基甸到了，就聽見一人將夢告訴同伴說，我作了一夢，夢見一個大麥圓餅輥入米甸營中，到了帳幕，將帳幕撞倒，帳幕就翻轉傾覆了。
And when Gideon came, at that moment a man was recounting a dream to his companion; and he said, I have just had a dream. There was this round loaf of barley bread tumbling through the camp of Midian. And it came to the tent and struck it, so that it fell and turned upside down. And the tent collapsed.
7:14
那同伴回答說，這不是別的，乃是以色列人約阿施的兒子基甸的刀；神已將米甸和全營都交在他的手中。
And his companion answered and said, This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel. God has delivered Midian and all the camp into his hand.
7:15
基甸聽見這夢的敘述和夢的講解，就敬拜神。他回到以色列營中，說，起來罷，耶和華已將米甸營交在你們手中了。
And when Gideon heard the account of the dream and its interpretation, he worshipped. And he returned to the camp of Israel and said, Arise, for Jehovah has delivered the camp of Midian into your hand.
7:16
於是基甸將三百人分作三隊，把角和空瓶交在各人手裏，瓶內都有火把。
And he divided the three hundred men into three companies; and he put trumpets into the hands of them all, as well as empty pitchers, with torches inside the pitchers.
7:17
他對他們說，你們要看著我，要照我所行的而行。我一到了營邊，我怎樣行，你們也要怎樣行。
And he said to them, Look at me, and do as I do. Right when I come to the edge of the camp, you shall do just as I do.
7:18
我和一切跟隨我的人吹角的時候，你們也要在全營的四圍吹角，喊叫說，耶和華和基甸的刀！
When I and all who are with me blow the trumpet, you also blow the trumpets around all the camp and say, For Jehovah and for Gideon!
7:19
基甸和跟隨他的一百人，在二更之初，纔換更的時候，來到營邊，就吹角，打破手中的瓶。
So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch. They had just then posted the watch. And they blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers that were in their hands.
7:20
三隊的人都吹角，打破瓶子，左手拿著火把，右手拿著角，喊叫說，耶和華和基甸的刀！
And the three companies blew the trumpets and shattered the pitchers; and they held the torches in their left hands, and the trumpets were in their right hands to blow. And they cried out, A sword for Jehovah and for Gideon!
7:21
他們在營的四圍各站各的地方；全營的人都亂竄，一面喊叫，一面逃跑。
And each man stood in his place around the camp. Then the whole camp ran off, and they shouted and fled.
7:22
三百人吹響三百枝角，耶和華使全營的人用刀互相擊殺，他們向西利拉逃到伯哈示他，直逃到靠近他巴，亞伯米何拉的河邊。
And they blew the three hundred trumpets, and Jehovah set each man's sword against his companion and against the whole camp. And the camp fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the edge of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath.
7:23
以色列人就從拿弗他利、亞設、和全瑪拿西，應召來追趕米甸人。
And the men of Israel were called up from Naphtali and from Asher and from all of Manasseh, and they pursued after Midian.
7:24
基甸打發人到以法蓮全山地，說，你們下來攻擊米甸人，爭先把守約但河的渡口，直到伯巴拉。於是以法蓮的眾人應召把守約但河的渡口，直到伯巴拉，
Then Gideon sent messengers throughout all the hill country of Ephraim, saying, Come down against Midian, and seize the waters against them as far as Beth-barah and the Jordan. And every man of Ephraim was called up, and they seized the waters as far as Beth-barah and the Jordan.
7:25
捉住了米甸的兩個首領俄立和西伊伯；將俄立殺在俄立磐石上，將西伊伯殺在西伊伯酒醡那裏；又追趕米甸人，將俄立和西伊伯的首級帶過約但河，到基甸那裏。
And they captured two princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. And they slew Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the wine press of Zeeb; and they pursued Midian. And they brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon across the Jordan.
8:1
以法蓮人對基甸說，你去與米甸人爭戰，沒有召我們同去，為甚麼這樣待我們？他們就與基甸大大的爭鬧。
Then the men of Ephraim said to him, Why have you done this thing to us, that you did not call us when you went to battle against Midian? And they contended with him sharply.
8:2
基甸對他們說，現在我行了甚麼能與你們相比呢？以法蓮所拾取剩下的葡萄，不強過亞比以謝所摘收的葡萄麼？
And he said to them, What have I done now to compare with you? Are not the gleanings of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?
8:3
神已將米甸的首領俄立和西伊伯交在你們手中；我能行甚麼與你們相比呢？基甸說了這話，以法蓮人向他的怒氣就消了。
It was into your hand that God gave the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. And what was I able to do in comparison with you? Then their hostile spirit toward him subsided when he said this word.
8:4
基甸和跟隨他的三百人來到約但河，就過了河，雖然疲乏，還是追趕。
Then Gideon came to the Jordan and crossed over, he and the three hundred men with him, weary yet pursuing.
8:5
基甸對疏割人說，求你們拿些餅來給跟隨我的人喫，因為他們疲乏了，我還在追趕米甸的兩個王西巴和撒慕拿。
And he said to the men of Succoth, Please give us loaves of bread for the people behind me, for they are weary and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, the kings of Midian.
8:6
但疏割的首領說，難道西巴和撒慕拿已經在你手裏，所以我們該將餅給你的軍兵麼？
But the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna in your hand now, that we should give bread to your army?
8:7
基甸說，那麼，等耶和華將西巴和撒慕拿交在我手裏之後，我要把你們的肉踹踏在野地的荊條和枳棘上。
And Gideon said, Because of this, when Jehovah does deliver Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, I will trample your flesh on the thorns of the wilderness and the briers.
8:8
基甸從那裏上到毘努伊勒，對那裏的人也是這樣說；毘努伊勒人回答他也像疏割人回答的一樣。
Then he went up from there to Penuel and spoke to them in the same way; and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered.
8:9
他也向毘努伊勒人說，等我平平安安回來的時候，我必拆毀這樓。
And he spoke also to the men of Penuel, saying, When I return in peace, I will break down this tower.
8:10
那時西巴和撒慕拿，並跟隨他們的軍隊都在加各，約有一萬五千人，就是東方人全軍所剩下的；已經倒斃的約有十二萬拿刀的。
Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their camps were with them, about fifteen thousand men, all who were left of the entire camp of the children of the east; for there had fallen one hundred and twenty thousand men who drew the sword.
8:11
基甸就由挪巴和約比哈東邊，從住帳棚人的路上去，在米甸軍隊安然無備的時候，擊殺了他們。
And Gideon went up by way of the tent dwellers, east of Nobah and Jogbehah; and he struck the camp when the camp was off guard.
8:12
西巴和撒慕拿逃跑；基甸追趕他們，捉住米甸的二王西巴和撒慕拿，驚散全軍。
And Zebah and Zalmunna fled, and he pursued after them. And he captured the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and threw all the camp into confusion.
8:13
約阿施的兒子基甸由希列斯坡從陣上回來，
And when Gideon the son of Joash returned from battle from the ascent of Heres,
8:14
捉住疏割的一個少年人，查問他。他將疏割首領和長老七十七個人的名字寫下來給基甸。
He captured a young man from among the men of Succoth and questioned him. And he wrote down for him the princes of Succoth and its elders, seventy- seven men.
8:15
基甸到了疏割，對那裏的人說，看哪，西巴和撒慕拿在這裏；你們曾指著他們譏誚我說，難道西巴和撒慕拿已經在你手裏，所以我們該將餅給跟隨你的疲乏人麼？
Then he came to the men of Succoth and said, Here are Zebah and Zalmunna, concerning whom you taunted me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna in your hand now, that we should give bread to your men who are weary?
8:16
於是捉住那城的長老，並拿野地的荊條和枳棘來，用以踹踏疏割人；
And he took the elders of the city and the thorns of the wilderness and the briers, and with them he trampled the men of Succoth.
8:17
又拆了毘努伊勒的樓，殺了那城裏的人。
And he broke down the tower of Penuel and slew the men of the city.
8:18
基甸問西巴和撒慕拿說，你們在他泊山所殺的人是甚麼樣子？他們說，你是甚麼樣子，他們也是甚麼樣子；每一個都像王子的模樣。
Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, What were the men whom you slew in Tabor like? And they said, As you are, so were they. Each one was like the children of a king in form.
8:19
基甸說，他們是我同母的兄弟，我指著永活的耶和華起誓，你們從前若存留他們的性命，我如今就不殺你們了。
And he said, They were my brothers, the sons of my mother. As Jehovah lives, if you had kept them alive, I would not slay you.
8:20
於是對他的長子益帖說，你起來殺他們。但那童子害怕，不敢拔刀，因為他還是個童子。
And he said to Jether his firstborn, Rise up; slay them. But the youth would not draw his sword, because he was fearful; for he was still a youth.
8:21
西巴和撒慕拿說，你自己起來殺我們罷，因為人如何，力量也如何。基甸就起來，殺了西巴和撒慕拿，奪了他們駱駝項上戴的月牙圈。
Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, You rise up, and fall on us; for there is as much strength as there is man. And Gideon rose up and slew Zebah and Zalmunna. And he took the crescents that were on their camels' necks.
8:22
以色列人對基甸說，你既救我們脫離米甸人的手，願你和你的兒孫管理我們。
And the men of Israel said to Gideon, Rule over us, you and your son and your grandson as well; for you have saved us from the hand of Midian.
8:23
基甸說，我不管理你們，我的兒子也不管理你們，惟有耶和華管理你們。
But Gideon said to them, I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. Jehovah will rule over you.
8:24
基甸又對他們說，我有一件事求你們，請你們各人將所奪的耳環給我。(原來米甸人都戴金耳環，因為他們是以實瑪利人。)
And Gideon said to them, Let me make a request of you, that each of you give me an earring from his spoil. ( The Midianites had golden earrings, for they were Ishmaelites.)
8:25
他們說，我們情願給你。於是鋪開一件外衣，各人將所奪的耳環丟在其上。
And they said, We will willingly give it. And they spread out a garment, and each of them threw an earring from his spoil there.
8:26
基甸所要來的金耳環重一千七百舍客勒金子。此外還有米甸王身上的月牙圈、耳墜、和紫色衣服，並駱駝項上的鍊子。
And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was one thousand seven hundred shekels of gold. This was besides the crescents and the pendants and the purple garments that were upon the kings of Midian and besides the chains that were on their camels' necks.
8:27
基甸以此製造了一個以弗得，設立在本城俄弗拉。後來全以色列在那裏隨從這以弗得行了邪淫；這就作了基甸和他全家的網羅。
And Gideon made an ephod with it and placed it in his city, in Ophrah. And all Israel went as harlots to it there, and it became a snare to Gideon and his house.
8:28
這樣，米甸人在以色列人面前被制伏了，不能再抬起頭來。基甸還在的日子，那地太平四十年。
So Midian was subdued before the children of Israel, and they lifted up their heads no more. And the land had rest forty years in the days of Gideon.
8:29
約阿施的兒子耶路巴力回去，住在自己家裏。
Then Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and dwelt in his house.
8:30
基甸有七十個兒子，都是他親生的，因為他有許多妻子。
And Gideon had seventy sons, the issue of his loins, for he had many wives.
8:31
他在示劍的妾，也給他生了一個兒子，基甸給他起名叫亞比米勒。
And his concubine who was in Shechem also bore him a son, and he named him Abimelech.
8:32
約阿施的兒子基甸，享大壽數而死，葬在亞比以謝族的俄弗拉，在他父親約阿施的墳墓裏。
And Gideon the son of Joash died at a good old age, and he was buried in the tomb of Joash his father in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
新約New Testament：
路加福音 Luke 12:1-34
12:1
這時，有數萬群眾聚集，甚至彼此踐踏，耶穌開講，先對門徒說，你們自己要提防法利賽人的酵，就是假冒為善。
Meanwhile, when the myriads of the crowd were gathered together so that they trampled on one another, He began to say to His disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
12:2
只是完全掩蓋的事沒有不被揭露的，隱藏的事沒有不被人知道的。
But there is nothing covered up which will not be revealed, and hidden which will not be known.
12:3
所以你們在暗中所說的，將要在明處被聽見；在內室附耳所說的，將要在房頂上被宣揚。
Therefore what you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in the private rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
12:4
我的朋友，我對你們說，不要怕那些殺身體，以後不能再作甚麼的。
And I say to you My friends, Do not fear those who kill the body and afterward have nothing more that they can do.
12:5
我要指示你們當怕的是誰；當怕那殺了以後，又有權柄扔在火坑裏的；我實在告訴你們，正要怕祂。
But I will show you whom you should fear: fear Him who, after killing, has authority to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, fear this One.
12:6
五隻麻雀不是賣二個銅錢麼？在神面前一隻也不會忘記。
Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria? And not one of them is forgotten before God.
12:7
就是連你們的頭髮，也都被數過了。不要怕，你們比許多麻雀還貴重。
But even the hairs of your head have all been numbered. Do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
12:8
我又告訴你們，凡在人面前，在我裏面承認我的，人子在神的使者面前，也必在他裏面承認他；
Moreover, I tell you, Everyone who confesses in Me before men, the Son of Man will also confess in him before the angels of God;
12:9
那在人面前不認我的，人子在神的使者面前，也必否認他。
But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
12:10
凡說話抵擋人子的，還能得赦免；惟獨褻瀆聖靈的，不能得赦免。
And everyone who will say a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
12:11
人帶你們到會堂、官長和有權柄的人面前，不要憂慮該怎麼分訴，或分訴甚麼，或該說甚麼；
And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how or what you should reply in defense, or what you should say;
12:12
因為在那時刻，聖靈自會教導你們當說的話。
For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that hour what should be said.
12:13
群眾中有一個人對祂說，夫子，請你吩咐我的兄弟同我分產業。
And someone out of the crowd said to Him, Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.
12:14
耶穌對他說，人哪，誰立我作你們的審判官，或分家業的人？
But He said to him, Man, who appointed Me a judge or a divider over you?
12:15
於是對眾人說，你們要當心，要自守，免去一切的貪婪；因為人的生命，不在於家業豐富。
And He said to them, Watch and guard yourself from all covetousness, for no one's life is in the abundance of his possessions.
12:16
耶穌就告訴他們一個比喻，說，有一個財主的田地出產豐盛；
And He told them a parable, saying, The land of a certain rich man brought forth abundantly.
12:17
他自己心裏思量說，我的出產沒有地方收藏，怎麼辦？
And he reasoned in himself, saying, What shall I do, for I have no place where I may gather my crops?
12:18
又說，我要這樣辦：要把我的倉房拆了，另蓋更大的，好在那裏收藏我一切的麥子和財物。
And he said, I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and I will gather there all my wheat and my goods.
12:19
然後要對我的魂說，魂哪，你有許多財物積存，可供多年享用，你休息吧，喫喝快樂吧。
And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; rest, eat, drink, be merry.
12:20
神卻對他說，無知的人哪，今夜必要你的魂；你所豫備的，要歸誰？
But God said to him, Foolish one, this night they are requiring your soul from you; and the things which you have prepared, whose will they be?
12:21
那為自己積財，對神卻不富足的，也是這樣。
So is he who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.
12:22
耶穌又對門徒說，所以我告訴你們，不要為生命憂慮，喫甚麼，也不要為身體憂慮，穿甚麼。
And He said to His disciples, Therefore I say to you, Do not be anxious for your life, what you should eat; nor for your body, what you should put on;
12:23
因為生命勝於食物，身體勝於衣服。
For the life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
12:24
你們想烏鴉，它們既不種，也不收，沒有倉，也沒有庫，神尚且養活它們。你們比飛鳥貴重多了。
Consider the ravens. They neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn; yet God nourishes them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!
12:25
你們中間誰能因憂慮使自己的身量多加一肘？
And which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his stature?
12:26
這最小的事，你們尚且不能作，為甚麼還憂慮其餘的事？
If then you cannot do even the least, why are you anxious about the rest?
12:27
你們想百合花，怎樣生長；它們既不勞苦，也不紡線。但我告訴你們，就是所羅門在他極盛的榮耀裏，也沒有披戴得像這些花中的一朵。
Consider the lilies, how they grow; they do not toil nor even spin thread; but I tell you, Not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these.
12:28
小信的人哪，野地裏的草，今天存在，明天就丟在爐裏，神尚且這樣給它穿戴，何況你們？
Now if God so arrays the grass in the field, which is here today and tomorrow is cast into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, you of little faith!
12:29
你們不要尋求喫甚麼，喝甚麼，也不要掛心。
And you, do not seek what you shall eat and what you shall drink, and do not be unsettled.
12:30
因為這一切都是世上外邦人所急切尋求的，你們的父卻知道你們需要這一切。
For all these things the Gentiles of the world are anxiously seeking, but your Father knows that you need these things.
12:31
但你們要尋求祂的國，這些就都要加給你們了。
However, seek His kingdom, and these things shall be added to you.
12:32
你們這小群，不要懼怕，因為你們的父樂意把國賜給你們。
Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has been well pleased to give you the kingdom.
12:33
要變賣你們的家業，施捨給人；為自己豫備永不舊的錢袋，用不盡的財寶在諸天之上，就是賊不能近，蟲不能蛀的地方。
Sell your possessions and give alms; make for yourselves purses which do not become old, an unfailing treasure in the heavens, where thief does not come near nor even moth corrupts;
12:34
因為你們的財寶在那裏，你們的心也必在那裏。
For where your treasure is, there also your heart will be.
