撒母耳記上 1 Samuel 8:1-10:27
8:1
撒母耳年老的時候，立了他的兒子作以色列的士師。
Now when Samuel was old, he made his sons judges over Israel.
8:2
長子名叫約珥，次子名叫亞比亞；他們在別是巴作士師。
And the name of his firstborn son was Joel, and the name of his second was Abijah; they were judges in Beer-sheba.
8:3
他兒子不行他的道路，偏去貪圖不義之財，收受賄賂，屈枉公理。
But his sons did not follow in his ways, but turned aside after unjust gain and took bribes and perverted justice.
8:4
以色列的長老都聚集，來到拉瑪見撒母耳，
Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah.
8:5
對他說，看哪，你已經年老，你兒子不行你的道路。現在求你為我們立一位王治理我們，像列國一樣。
And they said to him, You are now old, and your sons do not follow in your ways. Appoint now for us a king to judge us like all the nations.
8:6
他們說，求你給我們一位王治理我們；撒母耳不喜悅這事，就禱告耶和華。
But the matter displeased Samuel when they said, Give us a king to judge us. Then Samuel prayed to Jehovah.
8:7
耶和華對撒母耳說，百姓向你說的一切話，你只管聽從；因為他們不是厭棄你，乃是厭棄我，不要我作他們的王。
And Jehovah said to Samuel, Listen to the voice of the people according to all that they have said to you; for it is not you whom they have rejected, but they have rejected Me from being King over them.
8:8
自從我把他們從埃及領上來的日子到如今，他們常常離棄我，事奉別神；他們素來所行的這一切，現在也照樣向你行。
Like all the deeds that they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt to this very day by forsaking Me and serving other gods, so they do also to you.
8:9
故此你要聽從他們的話，只是當鄭重的警戒他們，告訴他們將來管轄他們的王會怎樣行。
Now therefore listen to their voice, but you shall solemnly warn them and declare to them the practice of the king who will reign over them.
8:10
撒母耳將耶和華的話都告訴求他立王的百姓，
So Samuel spoke all the words of Jehovah to the people, who had asked him for a king.
8:11
說，管轄你們的王必這樣行：他必征取你們的兒子，派他們為他趕車，作他的馬兵，奔走在他的車前；
And he said, This will be the practice of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them for himself to his chariots and as his horsemen, and they will run before his chariots;
8:12
又派他們作他的千夫長、五十夫長，並為他耕種田地，收割莊稼，打造軍器和車上的器械。
And he will appoint them for himself as captains of thousands and as captains of fifties, and to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war and the equipment for his chariots.
8:13
他必征取你們的女兒為他製造香膏，作飯烤餅；
And he will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers.
8:14
也必征取你們最好的田地、葡萄園、橄欖園，賜給他的臣僕。
And he will take your best fields and vineyards and olive groves, and give them to his servants.
8:15
你們撒種所得的，和葡萄園所出的，他必取十分之一，給他的太監和臣僕；
And he will exact a tenth of your seed and of your vineyards, and give it to his eunuchs and servants.
8:16
又必征取你們的僕人和婢女，精壯的少年人，和你們的驢，供他的差役。
And he will take your male servants and your female servants and your best young men and your donkeys, and put them to his work.
8:17
你們的羊群，他必取十分之一，你們也必作他的僕人。
He will exact a tenth of your flocks, and you will be his servants.
8:18
那日你們必因你們為自己所選的王哀求耶和華，那日耶和華卻不應允你們。
And you will cry out in that day on account of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves; but Jehovah will not answer you in that day.
8:19
但百姓不肯聽撒母耳的話，說，不然，總要有一位王治理我們，
But the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel, and they said, No; but there will be a king over us,
8:20
使我們像列國一樣，有王治理我們，率領我們出征，為我們爭戰。
That we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.
8:21
撒母耳聽見百姓這一切話，就將這些話說給耶和華聽。
And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he spoke them in the hearing of Jehovah.
8:22
耶和華對撒母耳說，你只管聽從他們的話，為他們立王。撒母耳對以色列人說，你們各歸各城去罷。
Then Jehovah said to Samuel, Listen to their voice, and appoint a king to them. And Samuel said to the men of Israel, Go, each one to his city.
9:1
有一個便雅憫人，名叫基士，是便雅憫人亞斐亞的玄孫，比歌拉的曾孫，洗羅的孫子，亞別的兒子，是個財主。
Now there was a man from Benjamin whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjaminite, a man of wealth.
9:2
他有一個兒子，名叫掃羅，又健壯、又俊美，在以色列人中沒有一個能比他更俊美的；身體比眾民高過一頭。
And he had a son whose name was Saul, a choice and handsome man; and there was not a man among the children of Israel more handsome than he; from his shoulders and up he was taller than all the people.
9:3
掃羅的父親基士丟了幾頭驢，他就吩咐兒子掃羅說，你帶一個僕人起身去找驢罷。
Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul's father, were lost; and Kish said to Saul his son, Take with you one of the servants, and rise up and go to search for the donkeys.
9:4
掃羅就走過以法蓮山地，又走過沙利沙地，都沒有找著；又走過沙琳地，驢也不在那裏；又走過便雅憫地，還沒有找著。
And he passed through the hill country of Ephraim, and he passed through the land of Shalishah; but they did not find them. Then they passed through the land of Shaalim, but they were not there. Then he passed through the land of Benjamin, but they did not find them.
9:5
到了蘇弗地，掃羅對跟隨他的僕人說，來，我們回去罷，免得我父親不為驢掛心，反為我們擔憂。
When they came to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, Come, and let us return; otherwise, my father will stop worrying about the donkeys and will worry about us.
9:6
僕人說，看哪，這城裏有一位神人，是眾人所尊重的，凡他所說的全都應驗。我們不如往他那裏去，或者他能將我們當走的路指示我們。
But he said to him, There is a man of God here in this city, and he is a man held in honor; all that he says happens without fail. Let us now go there; perhaps he will tell us about our journey that we have set out on.
9:7
掃羅對僕人說，我們若去，有甚麼可以帶給那人呢？我們囊中的食物都喫盡了，也沒有禮物可以帶給那神人，我們還有甚麼沒有？
And Saul said to his servant, But if we go, what will we bring the man? For the food is gone from our bags, and there is no present to bring the man of God. What do we have?
9:8
僕人又回答掃羅說，我手裏有銀子一舍客勒的四分之一，可以送給那神人；他必指示我們當走的路。
And the servant answered Saul again and said, Here in my hand is a quarter shekel of silver, and I can give it to the man of God; then he will tell us our way.
9:9
(從前在以色列中，若有人去求問神，就這樣說：來，我們到先見那裏去罷。今日的申言者，從前稱為先見。)
(Formerly in Israel a man spoke this way when he went to inquire of God, Come, and let us go to the seer; for today's prophet was formerly called a seer.)
9:10
掃羅對僕人說，你說的是，來，我們去罷。於是他們往神人所在的城裏去了。
Then Saul said to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went to the city where the man of God was.
9:11
他們上坡要進城時，遇見幾個少年女子出來打水，就對她們說，先見在這裏沒有？
As they went up the ascent into the city, they found some girls coming out to draw water; and they said to them, Is the seer here?
9:12
女子回答說，在這裏，他在你們前面。現在快去罷；他今日正到城裏，因為今日百姓要在邱壇獻祭。
And they answered them and said, He is; there he is ahead of you. Hurry now; for he has just come to the city today, because the people have a sacrifice at the high place today.
9:13
在他上邱壇喫祭物之先，你們一進城必遇見他；因他未到，百姓不能喫，因為他要為祭物祝福，然後請的客纔喫。現在你們上去，這時候必遇見他。
Right when you enter the city, you will find him, before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people will not eat until he comes, because he is the one who blesses the sacrifice. Right after that, those who have been invited will eat. Go up now then, for you will find him right away.
9:14
二人就上那城去；將進城的時候，撒母耳正迎著他們來，要上邱壇去。
So they went up into the city. As they came into the midst of the city, there came Samuel out toward them, going up to the high place.
9:15
掃羅到的前一日，耶和華已經指示撒母耳說，
Now Jehovah had revealed this to Samuel a day before Saul came, saying,
9:16
明日大約這時候，我必使一個人從便雅憫地到你這裏來，你要膏他作我民以色列的領袖。他必救我民脫離非利士人的手；因我民的哀聲上達於我，我就看顧他們。
At about this time tomorrow I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him ruler over My people Israel; and he will save My people from the hand of the Philistines, for I have looked upon My people because their cry has come to Me.
9:17
撒母耳看見掃羅的時候，耶和華回答他說，看哪，這人就是我對你所說的，他必治理我的民。
And when Samuel saw Saul, Jehovah declared to him, Here is the man of whom I spoke to you. This man shall rule over My people.
9:18
掃羅在城門裏走到撒母耳跟前，說，請告訴我，先見的寓所在那裏？
And Saul approached Samuel in the gate and said, Tell me, please, where is the seer's house?
9:19
撒母耳回答說，我就是先見。你在我前面上邱壇去，因為你們今日必與我一同喫飯；明日早晨我就送你回去，並將你心裏的事都告訴你。
And Samuel answered Saul and said, I am the seer. Go up before me to the high place, for you shall eat with me today; and in the morning I will send you away, and I will tell you all that is in your heart.
9:20
至於你前三日所丟的那幾頭驢，你不必掛心，已經找著了。以色列所仰慕的是誰呢？不是你和你父的全家麼？
And as for your donkeys that have now been lost three days, do not even consider them; for they have been found. And for whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not for you and for all your father's house?
9:21
掃羅回答說，我不是以色列支派中至小的便雅憫人麼？我的家族不是便雅憫支派中至小的家族麼？你為何對我說這樣的話呢？
And Saul answered and said, Am I not a Benjaminite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? And is not my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak to me in this way?
9:22
撒母耳把掃羅和他的僕人帶進客堂，使他們在請來的客中坐首位；客約有三十個人。
And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them to the hall, and put them in the chief place among those who had been invited; and there were about thirty men.
9:23
撒母耳對廚役說，把我所交給你，叫你存放的那一分祭肉拿來。
And Samuel said to the cook, Bring the portion that I gave, concerning which I said to you, Set it by you.
9:24
廚役就把存放的腿和附在其上的端上來，擺在掃羅面前。撒母耳說，這是所留下的，擺在你面前；喫罷，因為這是我請百姓的時候，為這特定的時刻留給你的。當日，掃羅就與撒母耳一同喫飯。
And the cook took up the thigh and what was attached to it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Here is what has been reserved. Set it before you and eat, because it has been kept for you for the appointed time, when I said I was inviting the people. So Saul ate with Samuel that day.
9:25
他們從邱壇下來進城，撒母耳和掃羅在房頂上說話。
And when they came down from the high place to the city, he spoke with Saul upon the roof.
9:26
次日他們清早起來；黎明的時候，撒母耳在房頂上呼叫掃羅說，起來罷，我好送你回去。於是掃羅起來，他和撒母耳二人一同出去。
And they rose early; and around the break of dawn Samuel called to Saul on the roof, saying, Rise up, and I will send you away. So Saul rose up, and they both went outside, he and Samuel.
9:27
二人下到城邊，撒母耳對掃羅說，要吩咐僕人先走；(僕人就先走了；)你現今且站在這裏，我好將神的話傳與你聽。
As they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Tell the servant to go on ahead of us-and the servant went on-but you stand here now, and I will let you hear the word of God.
10:1
撒母耳拿瓶膏油倒在掃羅的頭上，與他親嘴，說，耶和華膏你作祂產業的領袖。
Then Samuel took the vial of oil and poured it upon his head, and he kissed him and said, Jehovah anoints you ruler over His inheritance.
10:2
你今日與我離別之後，在便雅憫境內的泄撒，靠近拉結的墳墓，必遇見兩個人；他們必對你說，你去找的那幾頭驢已經找著了；現在你父親不再為驢掛心，反為你們擔憂，說，我為兒子怎麼作纔好呢？
When you depart from me today, you will find two men by Rachel's tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to you, The donkeys that you went to look for have been found; and now your father has stopped worrying about the donkeys and is worried about you, saying, What shall I do about my son?
10:3
你從那裏往前行，到了他泊的橡樹那裏，必遇見三個上伯特利去敬拜神的人，一個帶著三隻山羊羔，一個帶著三個餅，一個帶著一皮袋酒。
Then you will go on further from there and come to the terebinth of Tabor; and three men will meet you there, going up to God at Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a skin of wine.
10:4
他們必問你安，給你兩個餅，你就從他們手中接過來。
And they will greet you and give you two loaves of bread, and you will take them from their hand.
10:5
此後你要到神的山，在那裏有非利士人的防營。你到了城那裏的時候，必遇見一班申言者從邱壇下來，前面有鼓瑟的、擊鼓的、吹笛的、彈琴的，他們都在申言。
After that you will come to the hill of God, where the Philistines' garrison is. And as you come to the city there, you will encounter a group of prophets coming down from the high place, preceded by harp and tambourine and pipe and lyre; and they will be prophesying.
10:6
耶和華的靈必衝擊你，你就與他們一同申言，並且變成另一個人。
And the Spirit of Jehovah will rush upon you; and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.
10:7
這些兆頭臨到你，你就可以見機行事，因為神與你同在。
And when these signs happen to you, do as you find occasion, for God is with you.
10:8
你當在我以先下到吉甲；看哪，我必下到你那裏，獻燔祭，並獻平安祭。你要等候七日，等我到你那裏；我要指示你當行的事。
And you shall go down before me to Gilgal; and behold, I will come down to you to offer up burnt offerings and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings. You shall wait seven days, until I come to you; then I will make known to you what you shall do.
10:9
掃羅轉身離別撒母耳，神就改變他，賜他另一個心。當日這一切兆頭都應驗了。
And so when he turned his back to depart from Samuel, God gave him another heart. And all these signs happened that day.
10:10
掃羅到了那山，有一班申言者遇見他，神的靈衝擊他，他就在他們中間申言。
And when they came there to the hill, there was the group of prophets, coming to meet him. And the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them.
10:11
凡素來認識掃羅的，看見他和申言者一同申言，就彼此說，基士的兒子遇見甚麼了？掃羅也列在申言者中麼？
And when all who had known him previously saw that now he was prophesying with the prophets, the people said one to another, What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?
10:12
那地方有人回應說，這些人的父親是誰呢？此後有句俗語說，掃羅也在申言者中麼？
And someone from there answered and said, And who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
10:13
掃羅申言完了，就上邱壇去。
And when he finished prophesying, he came to the high place.
10:14
掃羅的叔叔對掃羅和他僕人說，你們往那裏去了？他說，找驢去了；我們見沒有驢，就到了撒母耳那裏。
And Saul's uncle said to him and his servant, Where did you go? And he said, To look for the donkeys; and when we saw that they were not to be found, we went to Samuel.
10:15
掃羅的叔叔說，請將撒母耳向你們所說的告訴我。
And Saul's uncle said, Tell me then what Samuel said to you.
10:16
掃羅對他叔叔說，他明明的告訴我們驢已經找著了。至於撒母耳所說，關於國的事，掃羅卻沒有告訴叔叔。
And Saul said to his uncle, He told us clearly that the donkeys had been found. But he did not tell him about the matter of the kingdom that Samuel had spoken of.
10:17
撒母耳將百姓召集到米斯巴耶和華那裏。
Then Samuel gathered the people together to Jehovah at Mizpah.
10:18
他對以色列人說，耶和華以色列的神如此說，我領你們以色列人從埃及上來，救你們脫離埃及人的手，又救你們脫離欺壓你們各國之人的手。
And he said to the children of Israel, Thus says Jehovah the God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and I delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of all the kingdoms that oppressed you.
10:19
你們今日卻厭棄了那親自救你們脫離一切禍患和災難的神，說，不然，求你立一位王治理我們。現在你們應當按著支派、家族，都站在耶和華面前。
But today you have rejected your God, who Himself saved you from all your calamities and distresses, and have said, No; but set a king over us. And now present yourselves before Jehovah according to your tribes and according to your thousands.
10:20
於是，撒母耳使以色列眾支派近前來掣簽，就掣出便雅憫支派來；
So Samuel brought all the tribes of Israel near, and the tribe of Benjamin was taken.
10:21
又使便雅憫支派按著家族近前來，就掣出瑪特利家族，從其中又掣出基士的兒子掃羅。眾人尋找他，卻尋不著；
And he brought the tribe of Benjamin near according to its families, and the family of Matri was taken. And Saul the son of Kish was taken. But when they sought him, he could not be found.
10:22
所以他們又問耶和華說，有另一個人要到這裏來麼？耶和華說，看哪，他藏身在物件中間。
Therefore they asked of Jehovah again, Is there yet another man coming here? And Jehovah said, There he is; he has hidden himself among the baggage.
10:23
眾人就跑去從那裏領出他來。他站在百姓中間，身體比眾民高過一頭。
And they ran and took him from there. And when he stood up among the people, he was taller than all the people from his shoulders and up.
10:24
撒母耳對眾民說，你們看見耶和華所揀選的人麼？眾民中沒有一個可與他相比。眾民就呼喊說，願王萬歲！:
And Samuel said to all the people, See him whom Jehovah has chosen, that there is none like him among all the people. And all the people shouted and said, Long live the king!
10:25
撒母耳將國法告訴百姓，又記在書上，放在耶和華面前。然後撒母耳遣散眾民，各回各家去了。
Then Samuel told the people the practice of the kingdom, and he wrote it in a book and laid it before Jehovah. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.
10:26
掃羅也往基比亞自己的家去，有心中被神感動的一群勇士與他同去。
And Saul also went to his house at Gibeah, and the men of valor, whose hearts God had touched, went with him;
10:27
但有些匪徒說，這人怎能救我們呢？就藐視他，沒有送他禮物；掃羅卻默不作聲。
But some worthless men said, How can this man save us? And they despised him and brought him no present. But he kept silent.

路加福音 Luke 18:31-43
18:31
耶穌把十二個門徒帶到一邊，對他們說，看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，那藉著申言者所寫一切關於人子的事，都要成就。
And taking the twelve aside, He said to them, Behold we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things which have been written through the prophets regarding the Son of Man will be accomplished,
18:32
祂將要被交給外邦人，受戲弄，受淩辱，受吐唾，
For He will be delivered up to the Gentiles and will be mocked and outrageously treated and spat upon;
18:33
並被他們鞭打，殺害，第三日祂必復活。
And when they have scourged Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise.
18:34
這些事門徒一樣也不領悟，這話對他們是隱藏的，所說的事，他們都不曉得。
And they understood none of these things, and this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know what was being said.
18:35
耶穌將近耶利哥的時候，有一個瞎子坐在路旁討飯。
And as He drew near to Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting by the road, begging.
18:36
他聽見群眾經過，就問是甚麼事。
And hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what this might be.
18:37
他們告訴他，是拿撒勒人耶穌經過。
And they told him that Jesus the Nazarene was passing by.
18:38
他就喊著說，大衛的子孫耶穌，可憐我吧！
And he shouted, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!
18:39
在前頭走的人就責備他，叫他安靜下來；他卻越發喊著：大衛的子孫，可憐我吧！
And those going before rebuked him so that he would be silent, but he cried out much more, Son of David, have mercy on me!
18:40
耶穌就站住，吩咐人把他領過來，到了跟前，就問他說，
And Jesus, standing still, commanded that he be led to Him. And when he drew near, He questioned him,
18:41
你要我為你作甚麼？他說，主啊，我要能看見。
What do you want Me to do for you? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight!
18:42
耶穌說，你可以看見，你的信救了你。
And Jesus said to him, Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.
18:43
瞎子立刻看見了，就跟隨耶穌，榮耀神。眾百姓看見了，也都把讚美歸與神。
And instantly he received his sight and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, seeing it, gave praise to God.
