11:1
亞哈謝的母親亞他利雅見她兒子死了，就起來剿滅王室所有的後裔。
Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she rose up and destroyed all the royal seed.
11:2
但約蘭王的女兒，亞哈謝的妹妹約示巴，將亞哈謝的兒子約阿施從那些將要被殺的王子中偷出來，把他和他的乳母都藏在臥房裏。她們把他藏起來，躲避亞他利雅，他就沒有被殺。
But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the sons of the king who were to be killed; she put him and his nurse into the bedchamber. So they hid him from Athaliah, and he was not killed.
11:3
約阿施和他的乳母藏在耶和華的殿裏六年；亞他利雅作了那地的王。
And he was with her, hidden in the house of Jehovah, for six years while Athaliah reigned over the land.
11:4
第七年，耶何耶大打發人把迦利人和護衛兵的眾百夫長帶來，領他們進了耶和華的殿，到他那裏。他與他們立約，使他們在耶和華殿裏起誓，又將王的兒子指給他們看，
Then in the seventh year Jehoiada sent word and gathered the captains of the hundreds over the Carites and over the guards and brought them to him at the house of Jehovah. And he made a covenant with them and put them under an oath in the house of Jehovah, then showed them the king's son.
11:5
吩咐他們說，你們當這樣行：凡安息日進班的，三分之一要看守王宮，
And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that you shall do: A third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath shall keep watch over the king's house;
11:6
三分之一要在蘇珥門，三分之一要在護衛兵院的後門。你們要看守王宮，攔阻閒人。
And another third shall keep watch in the gate of Sur; and another third shall keep watch at the gate behind the guards. You shall keep watch over the house for a defense.
11:7
你們所有在安息日出班的，三分之二要看守耶和華的殿，護衛王；
And the two divisions of you, all who go off duty on the Sabbath, shall keep watch over the house of Jehovah for the king.
11:8
各人手拿兵器，四面圍護王。凡擅入你們班次的，必被處死；王出入的時候，你們當跟隨他。
And you shall surround the king, each man with his weapons in his hand; and whoever enters the ranks shall be put to death; and you shall be with the king in his goings and comings.
11:9
眾百夫長就照著祭司耶何耶大一切所吩咐的去行，各帶所管安息日進班出班的人來見祭司耶何耶大。
And the captains of the hundreds did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded them. And each took his men, those who came on duty on the Sabbath with those who went off duty on the Sabbath; and they came to Jehoiada the priest.
11:10
祭司將耶和華殿裏所藏大衛王的槍和盾牌交給百夫長。
And the priest gave the spears and shields that had belonged to King David, which were in the house of Jehovah, to the captains of the hundreds.
11:11
護衛兵手中各拿兵器，在壇和殿那裏，從殿右直到殿左，站在王子的四圍。
And the guards stood, each man with his weapons in his hand, from the right flank of the house to the left flank of the house, by the altar and by the house, to guard the king all around.
11:12
祭司領王子出來，給他戴上冠冕，將律法書交給他，立他作王，用膏膏他；眾人拍掌說，願王萬歲！
And he brought the king's son out and gave him the crown and the testimony. And they made him king and anointed him, and they clapped their hands and said, Long live the king!
11:13
亞他利雅聽見護衛兵和民的聲音，就進耶和華的殿，到民那裏，
Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she went to the people at the house of Jehovah.
11:14
看見王照例站在柱旁，百夫長和吹號的人在王左右，那地的眾民歡樂吹號；亞他利雅就撕裂衣服，喊叫說，反了！反了！
And she looked, and there was the king, standing by the pillar, according to the custom, with captains and their trumpets near the king. And all the people of the land rejoiced and blew the trumpets. And Athaliah tore her clothes and cried out, Treason! Treason!
11:15
祭司耶何耶大吩咐管轄軍兵的百夫長說，將她趕出班外，凡跟隨她的必用刀殺死；因為祭司說，她不可在耶和華的殿裏被殺。
And Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds who had been set over the army and said to them, Bring her out between the ranks, and anyone who follows her kill with a sword; for the priest said, She shall not be killed in the house of Jehovah.
11:16
眾兵就閃開讓她去；她經由馬的入口處進王宮時，便在那裏被殺。
And they made way for her, and she went to the house of the king through the horses' entrance and was killed there.
11:17
耶何耶大使王和民與耶和華立約，使他們作耶和華的民；又在王與民之間立約。
And Jehoiada made a covenant between Jehovah and the king and the people that they would be Jehovah's people, and also between the king and the people.
11:18
於是那地的眾民都到巴力廟，拆毀了廟，將巴力的壇和像完全打碎，又在壇前將巴力的祭司瑪坦殺了。祭司耶何耶大派官看守耶和華的殿，
And all the people of the land went to the house of Baal and broke it down: The altars to him and his images they shattered to pieces, and they slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of Jehovah.
11:19
又率領百夫長和迦利人與護衛兵，以及那地的眾民，請王從耶和華的殿下來，經護衛兵的門進入王宮，他就坐上王位。
And Jehoiada gathered the captains of the hundreds and the Carites and the guards and all the people of the land. And they brought the king down from the house of Jehovah and came by way of the guard gate to the house of the king, and he sat upon the throne of the kings.
11:20
那地的眾民都歡樂，合城都安靜；眾人已將亞他利雅在王宮那裏用刀殺了。
And all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet; for they had slain Athaliah with the sword at the house of the king.
11:21
約阿施登基的時候年七歲。
Jehoash was seven years old when he began to reign.
12:1
耶戶第七年，約阿施登基，在耶路撒冷作王四十年。他母親名叫西比亞，是別是巴人。
In the seventh year of Jehu, Jehoash began to reign; and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zibiah of Beersheba.
12:2
約阿施在祭司耶何耶大教導他的一切日子，就行耶和華眼中看為正的事；
And Jehoash did what was right in the sight of Jehovah all the days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
12:3
只是邱壇還沒有廢去，百姓仍在邱壇獻祭燒香。
However the high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.
12:4
約阿施對眾祭司說，凡奉到耶和華殿分別為聖之物中的銀子－
And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the sanctified things which goes into the house of Jehovah-the money of everyone who passes through the numbering, the money of each person's assessment, and all the money that comes up in the heart of anyone to bring into the house of Jehovah -
12:5
每一個經過數點之人當納的銀子，各人被估的身價，或各人心中起意要奉到耶和華殿的銀子－祭司每人當從所認識的人收了來，修理殿的一切破損之處。
Let the priests take, each man from his acquaintance; and they shall repair what is broken in the house, wherever anything is found broken.
12:6
無奈到了約阿施王二十三年，祭司仍未修理殿的破損之處。
But as of the twenty-third year of King Jehoash, the priests had not repaired what was broken in the house.
12:7
所以約阿施王召了大祭司耶何耶大和眾祭司來，對他們說，你們怎麼不修理殿的破損之處呢？
So King Jehoash summoned Jehoiada the priest and the priests and said to them, Why have you not been repairing what is broken in the house? Now therefore take no more money from your acquaintances, but deliver it for what is broken in the house.
12:8
從今以後，你們不要從所認識的人再收銀子，要將所收的交出來，用以修理殿的破損之處。眾祭司答應不再從百姓收銀子，也不修理殿的破損之處。
And the priests agreed that they would neither take money from the people nor repair what was broken in the house.
12:9
祭司耶何耶大取了一個櫃子，在櫃蓋上鑽了一個洞孔，放於壇旁，在進耶和華殿的右邊；守門的祭司將奉到耶和華殿的一切銀子投在櫃裏。
Then Jehoiada the priest took a chest and bored a hole in its lid, and he put it beside the altar, on the right side as one comes into the house of Jehovah. And the priests who guarded the threshold put all the money that came into the house of Jehovah into it.
12:10
他們見櫃裏的銀子多了，便叫王的書記和大祭司上來，將耶和華殿裏所得的銀子包起來，加以數算。
And whenever they saw that there was a large amount of money in the chest, the king's scribe and the high priest would go up and bind the money that came into the house of Jehovah in bags and count it.
12:11
把所稱的銀子交給辦事的，就是耶和華殿裏督工的人；督工的人把銀子支付給修理耶和華殿的木匠和建築工，
And they would give the money that was weighed out into the hands of those who did the work, who had the oversight of the house of Jehovah; and these would pay it out to the carpenters and the builders who worked on the house of Jehovah,
12:12
並支付給泥水匠和石匠，又用以買木料和鑿成的石頭，修理耶和華殿的破損之處，並支付修理殿的各樣開支。
And to the masons and to the stone hewers and for the purchase of timber and hewn stone, to repair what was broken in the house of Jehovah, and for any other outlay to repair the house.
12:13
但那奉到耶和華殿的銀子，沒有用以作耶和華殿裏的銀盃、燈剪、碗、號、或任何金銀器皿；
But there were no cups of silver, snuffers, basins, trumpets, or any vessels of gold or any vessels of silver prepared for the house of Jehovah out of the money that was brought into the house of Jehovah;
12:14
乃將那銀子交給辦事的人，用以修理耶和華的殿。
For they gave it all to those who did the work, who repaired the house of Jehovah with it.
12:15
他們將銀子交給那些人，好付給作工的人，並不與那些人算帳，因為他們辦事誠實可信。
And they did not ask for an accounting from the men into whose hands they had given the money to use for doing the work, for these worked faithfully.
12:16
惟有贖愆祭的銀子和贖罪祭的銀子，沒有奉到耶和華的殿，都歸祭司。
The money from the trespass offerings and the money from the sin offerings was not brought into the house of Jehovah; it was the priests'.
12:17
那時，亞蘭王哈薛上來攻打迦特，攻取了；哈薛就定意上來攻打耶路撒冷。
At that time Hazael the king of Syria went up and fought against Gath and took it. And Hazael set his face to go up toward Jerusalem.
12:18
猶大王約阿施將一切分別為聖的物，就是他列祖猶大王約沙法、約蘭、亞哈謝所分別為聖的物，和自己所分別為聖的物，並耶和華殿與王宮府庫裏所有的金子，都送給亞蘭王哈薛；哈薛就退去不攻打耶路撒冷了。
And Jehoash the king of Judah took all the sanctified things which Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, his fathers the kings of Judah, had sanctified and his own sanctified things and all the gold that was found in the treasuries of the house of Jehovah and the house of the king; and he sent it to Hazael the king of Syria. And he went up from Jerusalem.
12:19
約阿施其餘的事，凡他所行的，豈不都寫在猶大諸王記上麼？
And the rest of the acts of Joash and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
12:20
約阿施的臣僕起來，同謀背叛，在下到悉拉路上的米羅宮裏擊殺他。
And his servants rose up and formed a conspiracy. And they struck Joash down in the house of Millo, on the way that leads down to Silla.
12:21
乃是他的臣僕示米押的兒子約撒甲和朔默的兒子約薩拔擊殺他，他就死了。眾人將他葬在大衛城，與他的列祖葬在一起。他兒子亞瑪謝接續他作王。
And it was Jozacar the son of Shimeath and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, who struck him down; and he died. And they buried him with his fathers in the city of David. And Amaziah his son reigned in his place.

約翰福音 John 12: 36b-50
12:36b
耶穌說了這話，就離開他們，隱藏了。
Jesus said these things, and He went away and was hidden from them.
12:37
祂雖然在他們面前行了許多神蹟，他們還是不信入祂。
But though He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe into Him,
12:38
這是要應驗申言者以賽亞的話，說，“主啊，我們所傳給人聽的，有誰信？主的膀臂向誰顯露？”
That the word of the prophet Isaiah which he said might be fulfilled, "Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?''
12:39
他們所以不能信，因為以賽亞又說，
For this reason they could not believe, because again Isaiah said,
12:40
“主叫他們瞎了眼，硬了心，免得他們眼睛看見，心裏明白，回轉過來，我就醫治他們。”
"He has blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart, that they might not see with their eyes and understand with their heart and turn, and I will heal them.''
12:41
以賽亞說這些話，是因為看見了祂的榮耀，就指著祂說的。
These things said Isaiah because he saw His glory and spoke concerning Him.
12:42
雖然如此，官長中卻有好些信入祂的，只因法利賽人的緣故，就不承認，恐怕被趕出會堂。
Nevertheless even many of the rulers believed into Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue;
12:43
這是因為他們愛人的榮耀，過於愛神的榮耀。
For they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.
12:44
耶穌喊著說，信入我的，不是信入我，乃是信入那差我來的。
But Jesus cried out and said, He who believes into Me does not believe into Me, but into Him who sent Me;
12:45
看見我的，就是看見那差我來的。
And he who beholds Me beholds Him who sent Me.
12:46
我到世上來作光，叫一切信入我的，不住在黑暗裏。
I have come as a light into the world, that every one who believes into Me would not remain in darkness.
12:47
若有人聽見我的話不遵守，我不審判他；因為我來不是要審判世人，乃是要拯救世人。
And if anyone hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
12:48
棄絕我不領受我話的人，有審判他的，就是我所講的話，在末日要審判他。
He who rejects Me and does not receive My words has one who judges him; the word which I have spoken, that will judge him in the last day.
12:49
因為我所講的沒有出於自己的；惟有差我來的父，已經給了我命令，叫我說甚麼，講甚麼。
For I have not spoken from Myself; but the Father who sent Me, He Himself has given Me commandment, what to say and what to speak.
12:50
我也知道祂的命令就是永遠的生命。所以我所講的，乃是父怎樣告訴我，我就照樣講。
And I know that His commandment is eternal life. The things therefore that I speak, even as the Father has said to Me, so I speak.
