尼希米記 Nehemiah 9：1-10：39
9:1
這月二十四日，以色列人聚集禁食，身穿麻衣，頭蒙塵土。
Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting and in sackcloth, with earth on their heads.
9:2
以色列的後裔就與一切外邦人離絕，站著承認自己的罪和列祖的罪孽。
And the descendants of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.
9:3
那日四分之一的時間，他們站在自己的地方念耶和華他們神的律法書；又四分之一的時間，他們認罪並敬拜耶和華他們的神。
And they stood up in their place and read in the book of the law of Jehovah their God for a fourth part of the day, and for another fourth part they confessed and worshipped Jehovah their God.
9:4
耶書亞、巴尼、甲篾、示巴尼、布尼、示利比、巴尼、基拿尼，站在利未人的臺上，大聲哀求耶和華他們的神。
Then Jeshua and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani stood up on the Levites' platform and cried out with a loud voice to Jehovah their God.
9:5
利未人耶書亞、甲篾、巴尼、哈沙尼、示利比、荷第雅、示巴尼、毗他希雅說，你們要站起來，頌讚耶和華，祂從亙古到永遠是你們的神：耶和華阿，你榮耀的名是當受頌讚的，當被高舉超越一切頌讚和讚美。
Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless Jehovah your God from eternity to eternity: And may Your glorious name be blessed, Which is exalted above all blessing and praise.
9:6
你，惟獨你是耶和華；你造了天和天上的天，並天上的萬象，地和地上的萬物，海和海中所有的；這一切都是你所保存的；天軍也都敬拜你。
You are Jehovah, You alone; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens with all its host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them; And You give life to all of them; And the host of heaven worships You.
9:7
你是耶和華神，曾揀選亞伯蘭，領他出迦勒底的吾珥，給他起名叫亞伯拉罕。
You are Jehovah God, Who chose Abram And brought him forth from Ur of the Chaldees And gave him the name Abraham.
9:8
你見他在你面前心裏忠信，就與他立約，要把迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、革迦撒人之地賜給他，賜給他的後裔。你應驗了你的應許，因為你是公義的。
And You found his heart faithful before You And made a covenant with him, To give him the land of the Canaanites, The Hittites, the Amorites, And the Perizzites and the Jebusites and the Girgashites, To give it to his seed. And You have fulfilled Your promises, For You are righteous.
9:9
你看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，
And You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt And heard their cry by the Red Sea,
9:10
就施行神蹟和奇事在法老和他一切臣僕，並他那地的眾民身上；因為你知道他們向我們列祖行事狂傲；你也使自己得了名聲，正如今日一樣。
And You performed signs and wonders on Pharaoh, And on all his servants, and on all the people of his land; For You knew that they acted arrogantly toward them; And You made Yourself a name, as it is to this day.
9:11
你又在我們列祖面前把海分開，使他們在海中乾地上走過；卻將追趕他們的人拋在深海，如石頭拋在大水中。
And You divided the sea before them, So that they might pass through the midst of the sea on the dry land; But their pursuers You threw into the depths, Like a stone into mighty waters.
9:12
你日間在雲柱中引導他們，夜間在火柱中照亮他們當行的路。
Then in a pillar of cloud You led them by day, And in a pillar of fire by night, To light the way for them, On which they should go.
9:13
你也降臨在西乃山，從天上與他們說話，賜給他們公正的典章、真實的律法、美好的律例和誡命，
And You came down upon Mount Sinai And spoke with them from heaven. And You gave them just ordinances and true laws, Good statutes and commandments.
9:14
又使他們知道你的聖安息日，並藉你僕人摩西吩咐他們遵行誡命、律例和律法。
And You made known to them Your holy Sabbath And prescribed commandments and statutes and a law for them Through Moses Your servant.
9:15
你從天上賜下糧食充他們的飢，從磐石使水流出解他們的渴；又叫他們進去得你起誓賜給他們的地。
And You gave them bread from heaven For their hunger, And You made water come forth from a rock for them For their thirst. And You told them to enter In order to possess the land, Which You swore To give them.
9:16
但他們，就是我們的列祖，行事狂傲，硬著頸項不聽從你的誡命；
But they and our fathers acted arrogantly And stiffened their neck and would not listen to Your commandments.
9:17
不肯聽從，也不記念你在他們中間所行的奇事，竟硬著頸項，自立首領，要回埃及去受奴役。但你是樂意饒恕人的神，有恩典，有憐恤，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，所以你沒有丟棄他們。
And they refused to listen And would not remember Your wondrous acts, Which You had done among them. And they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader To return to their slavery in Egypt. But You are a God of forgiveness, Gracious and compassionate, Long-suffering and abounding in lovingkindness; So You did not forsake them.
9:18
甚至當他們為自己鑄一隻牛犢，說，這是你的神，就是那領你從埃及上來的，因而大大褻慢了你；
Indeed when they made for themselves A molten calf, And said, This is your God, Who brought you up out of Egypt, And showed great contempt;
9:19
你還是大施憐恤，沒有把他們丟棄在曠野。日間雲柱沒有離開他們，仍引導他們行路；夜間火柱也沒有離開他們，仍照亮他們當行的路。
You, in Your great compassion, Did not forsake them in the wilderness; The pillar of cloud did not depart from over them by day, To guide them on their way; Nor the pillar of fire by night, To light the way for them, on which they should go.
9:20
你也賜下你良善的靈指教他們；沒有扣住嗎哪不給他們糊口，並賜水給他們解渴。
And You gave Your good Spirit To instruct them, And did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, And gave them water for their thirst.
9:21
你在曠野四十年供養他們，他們就一無所缺；他們的衣服沒有穿破，腳也沒有走腫。
Indeed for forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; They did not lack; Their clothes did not wear out, And their feet did not swell.
9:22
你將列國和諸民賜給他們，將這些分給他們作疆界；他們就得了西宏之地、希實本王之地、和巴珊王噩之地。
And You gave them kingdoms and peoples, And divided these to them as boundaries. So they took possession of the land of Sihon, even the land of the king of Heshbon, And the land of Og the king of Bashan.
9:23
你也使他們的子孫繁增，如同天上的星那樣多，帶他們到你所應許他們列祖進入得為業之地。
And their children You multiplied Like the stars of heaven, And You brought them into the land That You told their fathers To enter and possess.
9:24
他們的子孫進去得了那地；你在他們面前制伏那地的居民，就是迦南人；將迦南人和其君王，並那地的諸民，都交在他們手裏，讓他們任意對待。
And the children entered And possessed the land; And You subdued before them The inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites; And You gave them into their hand, With their kings and the peoples of the land, That they might do with them as they pleased.
9:25
他們攻取了堅固的城邑、肥美的地土，得著了充滿各樣美物的房屋、鑿成的水井、葡萄園、橄欖園、並許多果樹為業；他們就喫而得飽，身體肥胖，因你大大的善待，得以安逸享樂。
And they took their fortified cities And a fertile land, And took possession of their houses, Full of every good thing, Hewn cisterns, vineyards, and olive groves, And fruit trees in abundance; And they ate and were satisfied and grew fat, And they delighted in Your great goodness.
9:26
然而，他們竟不順從，背叛了你，將你的律法丟在背後，殺害那些向他們作見證，要使他們歸向你的眾申言者，大大褻慢了你。
But they were disobedient and rebelled against You And cast Your law behind their back. And they slew Your prophets, Who had testified against them In order to turn them back to You; And they showed great contempt.
9:27
所以你將他們交在敵人的手中，困迫他們；他們遭困迫的時候哀求你，你就從天上垂聽，照你的大憐恤賜給他們拯救者，救他們脫離敵人的手。
Therefore You delivered them into the hand of their oppressors, And they oppressed them; But when they cried out to You in the time of their oppression, You heard from heaven, And according to Your great compassions You gave them deliverers, Who delivered them from the hand of their oppressors.
9:28
但他們得安息之後，又在你面前行惡；你就丟棄他們在仇敵的手中，使仇敵轄制他們。然而他們轉回哀求你，你仍從天上垂聽，屢次照你的憐恤拯救他們。
Then after they had rest, They again did evil before You; And You abandoned them to the hand of their enemies, And they had dominion over them. But when they cried out to You again, You heard from heaven And delivered them many times According to Your compassions.
9:29
你警戒他們，要使他們歸服你的律法；他們卻行事狂傲，不聽從你的誡命，干犯你的典章，(人若行這些，必因這些活著，)扭轉肩頭，硬著頸項，不肯聽從。
And You testified against them in order to turn them back to Your law, But they acted arrogantly and would not listen to Your commandments; And they sinned against Your ordinances (By which, if a man does them, he will live), And they turned a stubborn shoulder And stiffened their neck and would not listen.
9:30
你多年寬容他們，又用你的靈藉你的眾申言者警戒他們，他們仍不聽從；所以你將他們交在各地之民的手中。
Yet You bore with them For many years And testified to them by Your Spirit Through Your prophets, But they would not give heed; So You delivered them Into the hand of the peoples of the lands.
9:31
然而因你豐盛的憐恤，你沒有把他們滅盡；你沒有丟棄他們，因為你是有恩典、有憐恤的神。
Nevertheless in Your abundant compassions You did not make an end of them; And You did not forsake them, For You are a gracious and compassionate God.
9:32
我們的神阿，你是偉大、有能、可畏、守約並施慈愛的神；我們的君王、首領、祭司、申言者、列祖，和你的眾民，從亞述列王的日子直到今日所遭遇的一切苦難，現在求你不要看為小。
And now, our God, The great, the mighty, and the awesome God, Who keeps covenant and lovingkindness, Do not let all the hardship seem small in Your sight Which has come upon us, on our kings, on our rulers, And on our priests and on our prophets And on our fathers and on all Your people, Since the days of the kings of Assyria Until this day.
9:33
在一切臨到我們的事上，你卻是公義的；因你所行的是信實，我們所作的是邪惡。
But You are righteous, In all that has come upon us, For You have acted faithfully While we have acted wickedly;
9:34
我們的君王、首領、祭司、列祖都不遵行你的律法，不聽從你的誡命和你警戒他們的話。
And our kings, our rulers, our priests, and our fathers Have not performed Your law Nor heeded Your commandments and Your testimonies, By which You testified against them.
9:35
他們在本國，在你所賜至大的美善中，在你所擺在他們面前這廣大肥美的地上，不事奉你，也不轉離他們的惡行。
But they, in their kingdom and in Your great goodness, Which You gave them, And in the broad and fat land That You put before them, Did not serve You, nor did they turn From their evil works.
9:36
看哪，我們今天作了奴僕；至於你所賜給我們列祖，讓他們喫其上的果實和美物之地，我們竟在其上作了奴僕。
Here we are, slaves today; And as for the land that You gave to our fathers To eat of its fruit and its goodness, Here we are, slaves upon it.
9:37
這地的許多出產歸了列王，就是你因我們的罪所派轄制我們的；他們任意轄制我們的身體和牲畜，我們遭了大難。
And its abundant produce is for the kings Whom You have put over us because of our sins; And they rule over our bodies and over our cattle at their pleasure, And we are in great distress.
9:38
因這一切的事，我們立確實的約，寫在冊上；我們的首領、利未人和祭司，都在其上蓋了印。
And because of all this we are making a firm covenant and setting it in writing, and upon the sealed document are the names of our rulers, our Levites, and our priests.
10:1
在約書上蓋印的記在下面：哈迦利亞的兒子，省長尼希米，和西底家；
And those who are upon the sealed document are: Nehemiah the governor, the son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah,
10:2
又有西萊雅、亞撒利雅、耶利米、
Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,
10:3
巴施戶珥、亞瑪利雅、瑪基雅、
Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah,
10:4
哈突、示巴尼、瑪鹿、
Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch,
10:5
哈琳、米利末、俄巴底亞、
Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,
10:6
但以理、近頓、巴錄、
Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,
10:7
米書蘭、亞比雅、米雅民、
Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,
10:8
瑪西亞、璧該、示瑪雅，這些是祭司；
Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah; these were the priests.
10:9
又有利未人，就是亞散尼的兒子耶書亞、希拿達的子孫賓內、甲篾；
And the Levites: namely, Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;
10:10
還有他們的弟兄示巴尼、荷第雅、基利他、毘萊雅、哈難、
And their brothers, Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,
10:11
米迦、利合、哈沙比雅、
Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah,
10:12
撒刻、示利比、示巴尼、
Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah,
10:13
荷第雅、巴尼、比尼努；
Hodiah, Bani, Beninu.
10:14
又有民的首領，就是巴錄、巴哈摩押、以攔、薩土、巴尼、
The heads of the people: Parosh, Pahath-moab, Elam, Zattu, Bani,
10:15
布尼、押甲、比拜、
Bunni, Azgad, Bebai,
10:16
亞多尼雅、比革瓦伊、亞丁、
Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin,
10:17
亞特、希西家、押朔、
Ater, Hezekiah, Azzur,
10:18
荷第雅、哈順、比賽、
Hodiah, Hashum, Bezai,
10:19
哈拉、亞拿突、尼拜、

10:28
其餘的民、祭司、利未人、守門的、歌唱的、殿役、和一切從各地的民分別出來歸服神律法的，並他們的妻子、兒女，凡有知識能明白的，
And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all those who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, all who had knowledge and who had understanding,
10:29
都隨從他們貴胄的弟兄，發咒起誓，必遵行神藉祂僕人摩西所賜的律法，謹守遵行耶和華我們主的一切誡命、典章和律例；
Join with their brothers, their nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath, to walk in the law of God, which was given through Moses the servant of God, and to keep and do all the commandments of Jehovah our Lord, as well as His ordinances and His statutes;
10:30
並且必不將我們的女兒嫁給這地的民，也不為我們的兒子娶他們的女兒。
And swear that we will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land nor take their daughters for our sons;
10:31
這地的民若在安息日，或甚麼聖日，帶了貨物或糧食來賣給我們，我們必不買。每逢第七年，我們必不耕種，並且豁免一切債務。
And if the peoples of the land bring in wares or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we will not buy it from them on the Sabbath or on any holy day; and we will forego the crops of the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.
10:32
我們又為自己立下定例，每年各人捐銀一舍客勒的三分之一，為我們神殿的使用，
We also lay upon ourselves obligations to charge ourselves one-third shekel yearly for the service of the house of our God,
10:33
就是為陳設餅、常獻的素祭、和常獻的燔祭，安息日、月朔、節期所獻的，與聖物，並為以色列人遮罪的贖罪祭，以及我們神殿裏一切工作的費用。
For the rows of bread, and for the continual meal offering, and for the continual burnt offering, for the Sabbaths, for the new moons, for the appointed feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings, to make expiation for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
10:34
我們祭司、利未人、和百姓都為奉獻木柴掣籤，以便年年按著宗族，定期將木柴奉到我們神的殿裏，照著律法上所寫的，燒在耶和華我們神的壇上；
And we the priests, the Levites, and the people have cast lots for the wood offering, in order to bring it to the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at appointed times year by year, to burn on the altar of Jehovah our God as it is written in the law;
10:35
以及年年將我們地上的初熟之物和各樣樹上一切果子中初熟的，都奉到耶和華的殿裏；
And in order to bring the firstfruits of our land and the firstfruits of all the fruit of every tree year by year to the house of Jehovah,
10:36
又照律法上所寫的，將我們頭胎的兒子和牲口奉上；將頭生的牛羊，都奉到我們神的殿，交給我們神殿裏供職的祭司；
As well as the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the law; and in order to bring the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God.
10:37
並將初熟麥子所磨的面和舉祭、各樣樹上初熟的果子、新酒與新油奉給祭司，收在我們神殿的庫房裏，且把我們地上所產的十分之一奉給利未人，因利未人在我們一切有耕作的鄉鎮中當取十分之一。
We will also bring the first of our dough and of our heave offerings and the fruit of every tree, the new wine and the fresh oil, to the priests at the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithe of our land to the Levites; for they, the Levites, are those who receive the tithes in all our rural towns.
10:38
利未人取十分之一的時候，亞倫的子孫作祭司的，當有一個與利未人在一起；利未人也當從十分之一中取十分之一，奉到我們神的殿，收在庫房中。
And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes; and the Levites shall bring the tithe of the tithes up to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse.
10:39
以色列人和利未人要將五穀、新酒與新油為舉祭，奉到庫房裏，就是聖所的器皿、供職的祭司、守門的、和歌唱的所在之處；我們必不離棄我們神的殿。
For the children of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the heave offering of the grain, of the new wine, and of the fresh oil to the chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary, the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers are; and we will not forsake the house of our God.

使徒行傳 Acts 19：21-41
19:21
這些事過後，保羅靈裏定意，要經過馬其頓、亞該亞，往耶路撒冷去，又說，我到了那裏以後，也必須去羅馬看看。
And when these things were fulfilled, Paul purposed in his spirit to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
19:22
於是從服事他的人中，打發提摩太和以拉都二人，往馬其頓去，自己暫時留在亞西亞。
And having sent into Macedonia two of those who served him, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a time.
19:23
那時，關於這道路，起了不小的擾亂。
And about that time no small disturbance took place concerning the Way.
19:24
有一個銀匠，名叫底米丟，是製造亞底米銀龕的，他使這行手藝的人作了不少生意，
For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith who made silver shrines of Artemis, afforded no little business to the craftsmen.
19:25
他聚集他們和同行的工人，說，諸位，你們知道我們是倚靠這生意發財的。
These he assembled together with the workmen of similar trades as well and said, Men, you know that from this business we have our prosperity.
19:26
這保羅不但在以弗所，也幾乎在全亞西亞，引誘迷惑許多群眾，說，人手所作的不是神，這是你們所看見所聽見的。
And you observe and hear that not only at Ephesus but in almost all of Asia this Paul has persuaded and perverted a considerable number, saying that the gods being made by hands are no gods at all.
19:27
這樣，不但我們同業這一行的榮譽會遭到損傷，就是大女神亞底米的廟，也要被算為無有，連全亞西亞和普天下所敬拜大女神的威榮，也要銷滅了。
And not only is there danger that our trade will come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be counted as nothing and that the magnificence of her whom the whole of Asia and the inhabited earth worships will also be overthrown.
19:28
眾人聽見，就怒氣填胸，喊著說，大哉，以弗所人的亞底米啊！
And when they heard this, they became full of rage and began to cry out, saying, Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!
19:29
滿城都混亂起來，眾人抓住與保羅同行的馬其頓人該猶和亞裏達古，同心合意沖進劇場裏去。
And the city was filled with confusion; and they rushed with one accord into the theater, seizing Gaius and Aristarchus of Macedonia, Paul's traveling companions.
19:30
保羅想要進去，到民眾那裏，門徒卻不許他去。
And when Paul intended to enter into the populace, the disciples would not allow him.
19:31
還有幾位亞西亞的首領，是保羅的朋友，打發人來勸他，不要冒險到劇場裏去。
And some of the Asiarchs also, who were his friends, sent to him and entreated him not to venture into the theater himself.
19:32
聚集的人紛紛亂亂，有喊叫這個的，有喊叫那個的，多半不知道是為甚麼聚在一起。
So then some were crying out one thing, and some another; for the assembly was in confusion, and the majority did not know for what cause they had come together.
19:33
有人把亞力山大從群眾當中帶出來，猶太人推他往前，亞力山大就擺手，要向民眾分訴。
And they drew Alexander out of the crowd, the Jews having pushed him forward; and Alexander, motioning with his hand, wanted to make a defense to the populace.
19:34
只因眾人認出他是猶太人，就同聲喊著：大哉，以弗所人的亞底米啊！如此約有兩小時。
But when they realized that he was a Jew, one voice arose from all for about two hours, crying out, Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!
19:35
那城裏的書記安撫了群眾，就說，諸位，以弗所人哪，誰不知道以弗所人的城，是看守大亞底米廟，和從丟斯那裏落下來之像的？
And the town clerk, having quieted the crowd, said, Men of Ephesus, which of you men is there then who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is the temple keeper of the great Artemis and of the image fallen from Zeus?
19:36
這些事既是駁不倒的，你們就當安靜，不可鹵莽行事。
Since these things therefore cannot be disputed, you ought to be quiet and do nothing rash;
19:37
你們把這些人帶來，他們並沒有搶劫廟宇，也沒有謗讟我們的女神。
For you have brought forth these men who are neither temple robbers nor blasphemers of our goddess.
19:38
若是底米丟和他同行的人，有控告人的事，自有上法庭的日期，也有省長在，他們儘可彼此對告。
If then Demetrius and the craftsmen with him have a matter against anyone, courts are being conducted and there are proconsuls; let them bring charges against one another.
19:39
你們若還要求問別的事，就可以在合法的集會裏解決。
But if you seek after anything further, it shall be settled in the legal assembly.
19:40
至於今日的事，本是無緣無故的，我們實在有被控作亂的危險；論到這鬧事的集合，我們也說不出所以然來。
For indeed we are in danger of being charged with insurrection for today's affair, since there is no reason for it; and with reference to it we will not be able to give an account concerning this disorderly gathering.
19:41
說完這話，便解散了會眾。
And when he had said these things, he dismissed the assembly.
