9:1
這些事作完了，眾首領來見我，說，以色列民和祭司並利未人，沒有從四圍各地諸民中分別出來，仍照他們可憎的事去行，就是照迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人可憎的事去行。
Now when these things had been completed, the officials approached me, saying, The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
9:2
因他們為自己和兒子娶了這些民的女子為妻，以致聖別的種類和這些地的諸民混雜；而且首領和官長在這不忠信的事上為魁首。
For they have taken some of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the peoples of the lands; indeed, the hand of the leaders and rulers has been foremost in this unfaithfulness.
9:3
我一聽見這事，就撕裂衣服和外袍，拔了頭髮和鬍鬚，驚懼憂悶而坐。
And when I heard about this matter, I tore my garment and my robe, and pulled out hair from my head and my beard, and sat down appalled.
9:4
凡為以色列神言語戰兢的，都因這被擄歸回之人的不忠信聚集到我這裏來；我驚懼憂悶而坐，直到晚上獻素祭的時候。
Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel on account of the unfaithfulness of those of the captivity was gathered to me, and I sat appalled until the evening meal offering.
9:5
晚上獻素祭的時候，我從憂傷刻苦中起來，穿著撕裂的衣袍，雙膝跪下，向耶和華我的神伸開雙手禱告，
And at the time of the evening meal offering I rose up from my affliction, even with my garment and my robe torn, and I fell on my knees and spread out my hands to Jehovah my God.
9:6
說，我的神阿，我抱愧蒙羞，不敢向我的神仰面；因為我們的罪孽滅頂，我們的罪過滔天。
And I said, O my God, I am ashamed and embarrassed to lift up my face to You, my God; for our iniquities have multiplied over our head, and our guilt has increased up to the heavens.
9:7
從我們列祖的日子直到今日，我們的罪過甚大；因我們的罪孽，我們和我們的君王、祭司，都交在各地諸王的手中，被刀殺、擄掠、搶奪，臉上蒙羞，正如今日的光景。
Since the days of our fathers up to this day we have been exceedingly guilty; and because of our iniquities we, our kings and our priests, have been delivered up into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to plunder, and to shamefacedness, as it is this day.
9:8
現在耶和華我們的神恩待我們片時，為我們留些逃脫的人，給我們安穩的釘子釘在祂的聖所，我們的神好光照我們的眼目，使我們在受轄制之中稍微復興。
And now for a brief moment favor has been shown by Jehovah our God to leave us a remnant to escape and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
9:9
我們是奴僕，然而在受轄制之中，我們的神仍沒有丟棄我們，在波斯諸王眼前向我們施慈愛，使我們復興，能建立我們神的殿，修其荒廢之處，並使我們在猶大和耶路撒冷有牆垣。
For we are slaves, yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage but has extended lovingkindness to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to raise up the house of our God and to repair its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
9:10
現在，我們的神阿，既是如此，我們還有甚麼話可說呢？因為我們已經離棄你的命令，
And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken Your commandments,
9:11
就是你藉你僕人眾申言者所吩咐的，說，你們要去得為業之地是污穢之地，有各地之民的污穢，和他們叫這地從這邊直到那邊所充滿的可憎之事，還有他們的不潔。
Which You commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, The land which you are entering to possess is a land unclean with the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, with their abominations, with which they have filled it from one end to another, and with their defilement.
9:12
所以不可將你們的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也不可為你們的兒子娶他們的女兒，永不可為他們求平安與好處，這樣你們就可以強盛，吃這地的美物，並遺留這地給你們的子孫永遠為業。
Now therefore do not give your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters for your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity forever; that you may be strong and eat the good of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.
9:13
我們因自己的惡行和大罪，遭遇了這一切的事，然而我們的神阿，你刑罰我們實在輕於我們的罪孽所當得的，又給我們留下這些逃脫的人；
And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, seeing that You our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve and have given us those who have escaped as this,
9:14
我們豈可再背棄你的命令，與行這些可憎之事的民通婚呢？若這樣行，你豈不向我們發怒，將我們滅絕，以致沒有一個剩下逃脫的人麼？
Shall we again break your commandments and intermarry with the peoples that do these abominations? Will You not be angry with us until You have consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor any who escape?
9:15
耶和華以色列的神阿，你是公義的，我們這剩下的人纔得逃脫，正如今日的光景。我們在你面前有罪過，因此無人在你面前站立得住。
O Jehovah the God of Israel, You are righteous; for we have been left a remnant of those who have escaped, as it is this day. Here we are before You in our guilt, although none can stand before You because of this.
10:1
以斯拉哭泣並俯伏在神殿前，禱告認罪的時候，以色列中有極大的一群男女和孩童聚集到以斯拉那裏；眾民無不痛哭。
Now while Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a very large gathering of men and women and children was gathered together to him out of Israel; for the people wept very bitterly.
10:2
屬以攔的子孫，耶歇的兒子示迦尼，對以斯拉說，我們對我們的神不忠信，娶了此地民中的外邦女子為妻，然而對於這事，以色列人還有指望。
And Shecaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said to Ezra, We have acted unfaithfully against our God and have married foreign women from the peoples of the land, yet now there is hope for Israel concerning this.
10:3
現在我們當與我們的神立約，將這一切妻子和她們所生的兒女送走，照著我主和那因我們神命令戰兢之人所議定的，按律法而行。
Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives and those born of them according to the counsel of my lord and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God, and let it be done according to the law.
10:4
你起來，這是你當辦的事，我們必幫助你，你當剛強行事。
Arise, for the matter is your responsibility, but we are with you; be strong, and do it.
10:5
以斯拉便起來，使祭司、利未人、和以色列眾人的首領起誓，要照這話去行；他們就起了誓。
Then Ezra arose and made the leaders of the priests, the Levites, and all Israel swear that they would do according to this word; so they swore.
10:6
以斯拉從神殿前起來，進入以利亞實的兒子約哈難的屋裏；到了那裏不喫飯，也不喝水，因他為那些被擄歸回之人的不忠信悲傷。
Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God and went into the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib; and when he came there, he ate no bread and drank no water, for he was mourning because of the unfaithfulness of those of the captivity.
10:7
他們在猶大和耶路撒冷通告所有被擄歸回的人，叫他們在耶路撒冷聚集。
And they made proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem to all the children of the captivity, that they should gather themselves together to Jerusalem;
10:8
凡不照首領和長老所議定，在三日之內來到的，他所有的財物必被沒收，他也必離開被擄歸回之人的會。
And that whoever did not come within three days, according to the counsel of the leaders and the elders, all his possessions should be forfeited, and he himself should be separated from the congregation of the captivity.
10:9
於是，猶大和便雅憫眾人，三日之內都聚集在耶路撒冷。那日正是九月二十日，眾人都坐在神殿前的寬闊處；因這事，又因下大雨，就都戰兢。
Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together to Jerusalem within the three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month, and all the people sat in the open square in front of the house of God, trembling because of this matter and because of the heavy rain.
10:10
祭司以斯拉站起來，對他們說，你們行事不忠信，娶了外邦的女子為妻，增添以色列人的罪過。
And Ezra the priest stood up and said to them, You have acted unfaithfully and have married foreign women to increase the guilt of Israel.
10:11
現在當向耶和華你們列祖的神認罪，遵行祂的旨意，從這地的諸民和外邦的女子分別出來。
Now therefore make confession to Jehovah the God of your fathers, and do His will, and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign women.
10:12
會眾都大聲回答說，你說得對，我們必照著你的話行。
Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, It is so; we must do as you have said.
10:13
只是百姓眾多，又逢大雨的時令，我們不能站在外頭，這也不是一兩天能辦完的事，因我們在這事上犯了大罪；
But the people are many, and it is a time of heavy rain, and we are not able to stand outside; neither is this a task for one day or two, for we have transgressed greatly in this matter.
10:14
不如讓我們的首領代表全會眾辦理這事，凡我們城邑中娶了外邦女子為妻的，當按所定的日期，同著本城的長老和士師而來，直到辦完這事，使神因這事所發的烈怒轉離我們。
Let our leaders represent the whole congregation, and let all those who are in our cities who have married foreign women come at appointed times and with them the elders of every city and their judges, until the fierce anger of our God is turned away from us on account of this matter.
10:15
惟有亞撒黑的兒子約拿單，特瓦的兒子雅哈謝阻擋這事，並有米書蘭和利未人沙比太幫助他們。
Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahzeiah the son of Tikvah stood up against this, and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite supported them.
10:16
被擄歸回的人如此而行。祭司以斯拉和一些宗族的首領都按著宗族，指名被分別出來；在十月初一日，他們坐下來查辦這事。
And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain heads of fathers' houses were set apart according to their fathers' houses, all of them by name; and they sat down on the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.
10:17
到正月初一日，他們纔查出所有娶了外邦女子的人。
And they finished with all the men who had married foreign women by the first day of the first month.
10:18
在祭司子孫中查出娶了外邦女子為妻的，就是耶書亞的子孫約薩達的兒子，和他弟兄瑪西雅、以利以謝、雅立、基大利。
And among the sons of the priests who had married foreign women there were found of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak and his brothers: Maaseiah and Eliezer and Jarib and Gedaliah.
10:19
他們便保證必把他們的妻子送走；他們因有罪過，就為自己的罪過獻上群中的一隻公綿羊。
And they pledged that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their guilt.
10:20
音麥的子孫中，有哈拿尼、西巴第雅。
And of the sons of Immer: Hanani and Zebadiah.
10:21
哈琳的子孫中，有瑪西雅、以利雅、示瑪雅、耶歇、烏西雅。
And of the sons of Harim: Maaseiah, and Elijah, and Shemaiah, and Jehiel, and Uzziah.
10:22
巴施戶珥的子孫中，有以利約乃、瑪西雅、以實瑪利、拿坦業、約撒拔、以利亞撒。
And of the sons of Pashhur: Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethanel, Jozabad, and Elasah.
10:23
利未人中，有約撒拔、示每、基拉雅(就是基利他，)還有毘他希雅、猶大、以利以謝。
And of the Levites: Jozabad, and Shimei, and Kelaiah (that is, Kelita), Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.
10:24
歌唱的人中有以利亞實。守門的人中，有沙龍、提聯、烏利。
And of the singers: Eliashib. And of the gatekeepers: Shallum, and Telem, and Uri.
10:25
以色列人巴錄的子孫中，有拉米、耶西雅、瑪基雅、米雅民、以利亞撒、瑪基雅、比拿雅。
And of Israel: of the sons of Parosh: Ramiah, and Izziah, and Malchijah, and Mijamin, and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah.
10:26
以攔的子孫中，有瑪他尼、撒迦利亞、耶歇、押底、耶利末、以利雅。
And of the sons of Elam: Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, and Abdi, and Jeremoth, and Elijah.
10:27
薩土的子孫中，有以利約乃、以利亞實、瑪他尼、耶利末、撒拔、亞西撒。
And of the sons of Zattu: Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Jeremoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
10:28
比拜的子孫中，有約哈難、哈拿尼雅、薩拜、亞勒。
And of the sons of Bebai: Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.
10:29
巴尼的子孫中，有米書蘭、瑪鹿、亞大雅、雅述、示押、耶利末。
And of the sons of Bani: Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Jashub, and Sheal, Jeremoth.
10:30
巴哈摩押的子孫中，有阿底拿、基拉、比拿雅、瑪西雅、瑪他尼、比撒列、賓內、瑪拿西。
And of the sons of Pahath-moab: Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezalel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
10:31
哈琳的子孫中，有以利以謝、伊示雅、瑪基雅、示瑪雅、西緬、
And of the sons of Harim: Eliezer, Isshijah, Malchijah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,
10:32
便雅憫、瑪鹿、示瑪利雅。
Benjamin, Malluch, Shemariah.
10:33
哈順的子孫中，有瑪特乃、瑪達他、撒拔、以利法列、耶利買、瑪拿西、示每。
Of the sons of Hashum: Mattenai, Mattattah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Jeremai, Manasseh, Shimei.
10:34
巴尼的子孫中，有瑪玳、暗蘭、烏益、
Of the sons of Bani: Maadai, Amram, and Uel,

比拿雅、比底雅、基祿、
Benaiah, Bedeiah, Cheluhi,
10:36
瓦尼雅、米利末、以利亞實、
Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
10:37
瑪他尼、瑪特乃、雅掃、
Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasu,
10:38
巴尼、賓內、示每、
And Bani, and Binnui, Shimei,
10:39

10:43
尼波的子孫中，有耶利、瑪他提雅、撒拔、西比拿、雅玳、約珥、比拿雅。
Of the sons of Nebo: Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jaddai, and Joel, Benaiah.
10:44
這些人都娶了外邦女子為妻，其中也有一些已經生了兒女。
All these had taken foreign wives; and some of them had wives by whom they had children.

使徒行傳 Acts 16：19-40
16:19
使女的主人們見自己得利的指望沒有了，便揪住保羅和西拉，拉到市場上首領面前；
But when her masters saw that their hope of profit had gone out, they laid hold of Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.
16:20
又把他們帶到官長那裏，說，這些人原是猶太人，竟騷擾我們的城，
And when they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, These men, being Jews, are throwing our city into confusion,
16:21
宣傳我們羅馬人所不可受，也不可行的規矩。
And they are announcing customs which are not lawful for us, being Romans, to accept or do.
16:22
群眾就一同起來攻擊他們，官長剝了他們的衣服，吩咐人用棍子打。
And the crowd rose up together against them, and the magistrates tore off their garments and ordered some to beat them with rods.
16:23
打了許多棍，便將他們下在監裏，囑咐禁卒看守妥當。
And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them securely,
16:24
禁卒領了這樣的命令，就把他們下在內監，兩腳上妥了木狗。
Who, having received such a charge, threw them into the inner prison and secured their feet in the stocks.
16:25
約在半夜，保羅和西拉禱告唱詩讚美神，眾囚犯也側耳聽他們。
And about midnight Paul and Silas, while praying, sang hymns of praise to God; and the prisoners were listening to them.
16:26
忽然地大震動，甚至監牢的地基都搖動了，監門立刻全開，眾囚犯的鎖鏈也都鬆開了。
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken. And instantly all the doors were opened and everyone's bonds were unfastened.
16:27
禁卒醒來，看見監門開了，以為囚犯已經逃走，就拔刀想要自殺。
And the jailer, waking up out of his sleep and seeing the doors of the prison opened, drew his sword and was about to do away with himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
16:28
保羅大聲呼叫說，不要傷害自己，我們都在這裏。
But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, Do no harm to yourself, for we are all here.
16:29
禁卒叫人拿燈來，就衝進去，戰戰兢兢的俯伏在保羅、西拉面前；
And the jailer asked for lights and rushed in; and trembling, he fell down before Paul and Silas.
16:30
又領他們出來，說，先生們，我當怎樣行纔可以得救？
And leading them outside, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
16:31
他們說，當信靠主耶穌，你和你一家都必得救。
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.
16:32
他們就把主的話，講給他同他全家的人聽。
And they spoke the word of God to him together with all those in his house.
16:33
當夜，就在那時，禁卒把他們帶去，洗他們的傷，他和屬乎他的人，立即都受了浸。
And he took them with him in that very hour of the night and washed their wounds. And he was baptized immediately, he and all his household.
16:34
於是禁卒領他們上去，到他的家裏，給他們擺上飯，他和全家因為信了神，就都歡騰。
And he brought them up into his house and set a table before them; and he exulted because he had believed in God with all his household.
16:35
到了天亮，官長打發差役來，說，釋放那兩個人罷。
Now when day came, the magistrates sent the lictors, saying, Release those men.
16:36
禁卒就把這話告訴保羅說，官長打發人來要釋放你們。這樣，你們現在就出監，平平安安的走罷。
And the jailer reported these words to Paul: The magistrates have sent that you may be released. Now therefore come out and go in peace.
16:37
保羅卻對他們說，我們是羅馬人，並沒有定罪，他們就公開的打了我們，又把我們下在監裏，現在要私下攆我們出去麼？這是不行的，叫他們自己來領我們出去罷。
But Paul said to them, They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men who are Romans, and have thrown us into prison; and now secretly they are thrusting us out? No indeed! But let them come themselves and bring us out.
16:38
差役把這話稟報官長。官長聽見他們是羅馬人，就害怕了。
And the lictors reported these words to the magistrates. And they became frightened when they heard that they were Romans.
16:39
於是來勸他們，領他們出來，請他們離開那城。
And they came and entreated them. And when they had brought them out, they asked them to depart from the city.
16:40
二人出了監，就到呂底亞家裏去，見了弟兄們，勸勉他們一番，就走了。
And they went out from the prison and entered the house of Lydia; and when they saw the brothers, they exhorted them and went forth.
