12:16b

他兒子亞比雅接續他作王。

And Abijah his son reigned in his place.

13:1

耶羅波安王十八年，亞比雅登基作猶大王，

In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam, Abijah began to reign over Judah.

13:2

在耶路撒冷作王三年。他母親名叫米該亞，是基比亞人烏列的女兒。

He reigned three years in Jerusalem, and his mother's name was Micaiah, the daughter of Uriel from Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

13:3

亞比雅與耶羅波安爭戰。亞比雅率領挑選的兵四十萬開戰，都是勇敢的戰士；耶羅波安也挑選大能的勇士八十萬，對著亞比雅擺陣。

And Abijah began the battle with an army of valiant men of war, four hundred thousand choice men. And Jeroboam set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand choice men, mighty men of valor.

13:4

亞比雅站在以法蓮山地的洗瑪臉山上，說，耶羅波安和以色列眾人哪，要聽我說：

And Abijah stood up on Mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, Hear me, Jeroboam and all Israel:

13:5

耶和華以色列的神曾立鹽約，將以色列國永遠賜給大衛和他的子孫，你們不知道麼？

Do you not know that Jehovah the God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever, to him and to his sons, by a covenant of salt?

13:6

無奈大衛兒子所羅門的臣僕、尼八兒子耶羅波安起來背叛他的主人。

But Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, rose up and rebelled against his lord.

13:7

有些無賴的匪徒聚集在他左右，逞強攻擊所羅門的兒子羅波安；那時羅波安還年輕，心中怯弱，不能抵擋他們。

And worthless men, just scoundrels, gathered around him and strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tender in heart and could not withstand them.

13:8

現在你們有意抗拒大衛子孫手中所治耶和華的國，你們的人甚多，又有耶羅波安為你們所造當作神的金牛犢。

And now you think that you can withstand the kingdom of Jehovah in the hand of the sons of David because you are a great multitude and with you are the golden calves that Jeroboam made as gods for you.

13:9

你們不是驅逐耶和華的祭司亞倫的子孫和利未人麼？你們又照著異地之民的樣子為自己立祭司，無論何人牽一隻公牛犢、七隻公綿羊來承接聖職，就可作那本不是神的祭司。

Have you not cast out the priests of Jehovah, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites? And you made for yourselves priests like those of the peoples of other lands, so that anyone who comes to consecrate himself with a bull of the herd and seven rams becomes a priest of what are not gods.

13:10

至於我們，耶和華是我們的神，我們並沒有離棄祂；我們有事奉耶和華的祭司，都是亞倫的子孫，並有利未人各盡其職。

But as for us, Jehovah is our God, and we have not forsaken Him; and the priests who minister to Jehovah are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites are in their work.

13:11

他們每日早晚向耶和華燒燔祭，和馨香的香，又在純金的桌子上擺陳設餅；他們也照料金燈檯和燈盞，每晚點起；我們謹守耶和華我們神所交付的職守，你們卻離棄了祂。

And they offer in smoke to Jehovah burnt offerings morning by morning and evening by evening as well as fragrant incense, and they set the rows of bread upon the pure table, and they care for the golden lampstand and its lamps that it may burn evening by evening; for we keep the charge of Jehovah our God, but you have forsaken Him.

13:12

我們這裏有率領我們的神，也有祂的祭司拿著號筒，向你們吹出大聲。以色列人哪，不要與耶和華你們列祖的神爭戰，因你們必不能亨通。

And here with us is God at our head and His priests with the trumpets of alarm to sound out against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against Jehovah, the God of your fathers, for you will not succeed.

13:13

耶羅波安卻派伏兵繞到猶大人的後頭。這樣，以色列人在猶大人的前頭，伏兵在猶大人的後頭。

Now Jeroboam had sent an ambush around to come up from behind them. So they were in front of Judah, and the ambush was behind them.

13:14

猶大人回頭，見前後受敵，就呼求耶和華，祭司也吹號。

And when Judah looked back, the battle was right on them, before and behind; and they cried out to Jehovah, and the priests sounded the trumpets.

13:15

於是猶大人呐喊；猶大人呐喊的時候，神就在亞比雅與猶大人面前，擊敗耶羅波安和以色列眾人。

And the men of Judah shouted; and when the men of Judah shouted, God struck Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

13:16

以色列人在猶大人面前逃跑，神將他們交在猶大人手裏。

And the children of Israel fled before Judah, and God gave them into their hand.

13:17

亞比雅和他的百姓大大擊殺以色列人，以色列人僕倒死亡的精兵有五十萬。

And Abijah and his people struck a great blow on them, so that five hundred thousand choice men from Israel fell slain.

13:18

那時，以色列人被制伏了，猶大人得勝，是因倚靠耶和華他們列祖的神。

Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time; and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on Jehovah, the God of their fathers.

13:19

亞比雅追趕耶羅波安，攻取了他的幾座城，就是伯特利和屬伯特利的鄉村，耶沙拿和屬耶沙拿的鄉村，以弗倫和屬以弗倫的鄉村。

And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam and took cities from him: Bethel and its villages, and Jeshanah and its villages, and Ephron and its villages.

13:20

亞比雅在世的日子，耶羅波安不能再強盛；耶和華攻擊他，他就死了。

And Jeroboam never regained power during the days of Abijah; but Jehovah struck him, and he died.

13:21

亞比雅卻漸漸強盛，娶了十四個妻妾，生了二十二個兒子，十六個女兒。

And Abijah grew stronger; and he took to himself fourteen wives and begot twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.

13:22

亞比雅其餘的事和他的言行，都寫在申言者易多的評傳上。

And the rest of the acts of Abijah and his ways and his words are written in the commentary of the prophet Iddo.

14:1

亞比雅與他列祖同睡，人把他葬在大衛城裏。他兒子亞撒接續他作王。亞撒在位的日子，那地太平十年。

And Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa his son reigned in his place. In his days the land was quiet for ten years.

14:2

亞撒行耶和華他神眼中看為善為正的事，

And Asa did what was good and upright in the sight of Jehovah his God;

14:3

除掉外邦神的壇和邱壇，打碎柱像，砍下木像，

For he removed the foreign altars and the high places and smashed the pillars and hewed down the Asherahs,

14:4

吩咐猶大人尋求耶和華他們列祖的神，遵行祂的律法和誡命。

And he commanded Judah to pursue Jehovah, the God of their fathers, and perform the law and the commandment.

14:5

他從猶大各城邑除掉邱壇和香壇。在他面前國享太平。

And from all the cities of Judah he removed the high places and the incense altars. And the kingdom was quiet before him.

14:6

他在猶大建造了幾座堅固城。那地太平，那些年間沒有戰爭，因為耶和華使他得安息。

And he built fortress cities in Judah; for the land was quiet and there was no war against him during those years, because Jehovah had given him rest.

14:7

他對猶大人說，我們要建造這些城邑，四圍築牆，蓋樓，安門，作閂；地還屬我們，是因我們尋求耶和華我們的神；我們既尋求祂，祂就使我們四圍得安息。於是他們建造城邑，諸事亨通。

For he said to Judah, Let us build these cities and put around them walls with towers, gates, and bars. The land is still before us because we have pursued Jehovah our God; we have pursued Him, and He has given us rest all around. So they built and prospe

14:8

亞撒的軍兵，出自猶大的，有拿擋牌、拿槍的三十萬人，出自便雅憫的，有拿盾牌、拉弓的二十八萬人；這些都是大能的勇士。

And Asa had an army of three hundred thousand from Judah who bore shields and spears and of two hundred eighty thousand from Benjamin who bore hand shields and drew bows; all these were mighty men of valor.

14:9

古實人謝拉率領軍兵一百萬，戰車三百輛，出來攻擊猶大人，來到瑪利沙。

And Zerah the Cushite went out to them with an army of one million men and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah.

14:10

亞撒出去迎戰，他們就在瑪利沙的洗法穀擺陣。

And Asa went out before him and set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.

14:11

亞撒呼求耶和華他的神，說，耶和華阿，我們或是有能，或是無力，除你以外，沒有誰能幫助我們。耶和華我們的神阿，求你幫助我們，因為我們信靠你，在你的名裏來攻擊這軍眾。耶和華阿，你是我們的神，不要讓人勝過你。

And Asa called out to Jehovah his God and said, O Jehovah, there is none besides You to help us, between the mighty and those without strength. Help us, O Jehovah our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name we have come against this multitude. O Jehovah, You are our God; do not let mortal man prevail against You.

14:12

於是耶和華在亞撒和猶大人面前擊敗古實人，古實人就逃跑了。

And Jehovah struck the Cushites before Asa and before Judah, and the Cushites fled.

14:13

亞撒和跟隨他的百姓追趕他們，直到基拉耳；古實人倒斃的甚多，不能再強盛，因為他們潰敗在耶和華與祂軍兵面前。猶大人就奪了許多財物，

And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar; and so many of the Cushites fell that they could not recover, for they were shattered before Jehovah and before His army. And they carried away very much spoil.

14:14

又擊破基拉耳四圍的一切城邑，因為耶和華使其中的人都甚恐懼。猶大人又將所有的城掠奪一空，因其中可掠奪的財物甚多。

And they struck all the cities surrounding Gerar, for the fear of Jehovah was upon them. And they plundered all the cities, for there was much plunder in them.

14:15

他們又擊破群畜的棚，奪取許多的羊和駱駝，就回耶路撒冷去了。

And they also struck the cattle tents and carried away sheep in abundance and camels, and they returned to Jerusalem.

15:1

神的靈臨到俄德的兒子亞撒利雅。

And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded.

15:2

他出來迎接亞撒，對他說，亞撒和猶大、便雅憫眾人哪，要聽我說，你們若順從耶和華，耶和華必與你們同在；你們若尋求祂，祂必被你們尋見；你們若離棄祂，祂必離棄你們。

And he went out to meet Asa and said to him, Hear me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin: Jehovah is with you while you are with Him; and if you pursue Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

15:3

以色列沒有真神，沒有訓誨的祭司，也沒有律法，已經許久了；

Now for a long time Israel has been without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law.

15:4

但他們在急難的時候歸向耶和華以色列的神，尋求祂，祂就被他們尋見。

But in their distress they turned to Jehovah the God of Israel and sought Him, and He was found by them.

15:5

那時，出入的人不得平安，各地的居民都遭大亂；

For in those times there was no peace to him who went out or to him who came in, for great afflictions were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.

15:6

國攻擊國，城攻擊城，互相損毀，因為神用各樣災難擾亂他們。

For they were crushed, nation against nation and city against city, for God afflicted them with every distress.

15:7

但你們要剛強，不要手軟，因你們所行的必得賞賜。

But you be strong and do not let your hands fail, for there is reward for your labor.

15:8

亞撒聽見這些話，就是俄德兒子申言者亞撒利雅的申言，就壯起膽來，從猶大、便雅憫全地，並以法蓮山地所奪的各城，將可憎之物除掉，又把耶和華殿廊前耶和華的壇重新修築了。

And when Asa heard these words, that is, the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he strengthened himself and put away the detestable things from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities that he had taken in the hill country of Ephraim. And he restored the altar of Jehovah, which was before the portico of Jehovah.

15:9

他又招聚猶大、便雅憫的眾人，並他們中間寄居的以法蓮人、瑪拿西人、西緬人；有許多以色列人歸降亞撒，因見耶和華他的神與他同在。

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin and the sojourners with them from Ephraim and Manasseh and Simeon, for many from Israel threw in their lot with him when they saw that Jehovah his God was with him.

15:10

亞撒作王第十五年三月，他們都聚集在耶路撒冷。

So they gathered themselves at Jerusalem in the third month in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

15:11

當日他們從所取的掠物中，將牛七百隻、羊七千隻，獻給耶和華為祭。

And they sacrificed to Jehovah on that day from the spoil they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.

15:12

他們就立約，要全心全魂尋求耶和華他們列祖的神。

And they entered into a covenant to pursue Jehovah, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul,

15:13

凡不尋求耶和華以色列神的，無論大小、男女，必被處死。

And covenanted that anyone who did not pursue Jehovah the God of Israel would be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

15:14

他們就大聲歡呼，吹號吹角，向耶和華起誓。

And they swore to Jehovah with a loud voice and with shouting and with trumpets and with horns.

15:15

猶大眾人為所起的誓歡喜，因他們是全心起誓，全然樂意尋求耶和華；耶和華就被他們尋見，並且使他們四圍平靜。

And all Judah rejoiced over the oath, for with all their heart they swore and with all their desire they sought Him. And He was found by them, and Jehovah gave them rest all around.

15:16

亞撒王又廢了他祖母瑪迦太后的位，因她為亞舍拉造了可憎的像。亞撒砍下她所造可憎的像，搗得粉碎，燒在汲淪溪邊。

And he also removed Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, from being queen mother because she had made for Asherah an abominable image; and Asa cut down her abominable image and crushed it to powder and burned it at the brook Kidron.

15:17

但是邱壇還沒有從以色列中廢去；不過亞撒的心一生都純全的向著耶和華。

But the high places were not taken away from Israel; otherwise Asa's heart was perfect all his days.

15:18

亞撒將他父親所分別為聖，與自己所分別為聖的金銀和器皿，都奉到神的殿裏。

And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had sanctified and that he had sanctified-silver and gold and vessels.

15:19

從這時直到亞撒作王第三十五年，都沒有爭戰的事。

And there was no war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa's reign.

16:1

亞撒作王第三十六年，以色列王巴沙上來攻擊猶大，修築拉瑪，不許人從猶大王亞撒那裏出入。

In the thirty-sixth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha the king of Israel went up against Judah and built Ramah that he might prevent anyone from going out or coming to Asa the king of Judah.

16:2

於是亞撒從耶和華殿和王宮的府庫裏拿出金銀來，送給住大馬色的亞蘭王便哈達，說，

And Asa brought out silver and gold from the treasures of the house of Jehovah and the king's house and sent them to Ben-hadad the king of Syria who was dwelling in Damascus, saying,

16:3

你父親與我父親立約，我也與你立約。現在我將金銀送給你，你去廢掉你與以色列王巴沙所立的約，使他離開我。

There is an alliance between me and you as there was between my father and your father. I am now sending you silver and gold; go, break your alliance with Baasha the king of Israel, so that he goes away from me.

16:4

便哈達聽從亞撒王的話，派他的軍長去攻擊以色列的城邑；他們就攻破以雲、但、亞伯瑪音、和拿弗他利一切的積貨城。

And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa. And he sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they struck Ijon and Dan and Abel-maim and all the store cities of Naphtali.

16:5

巴沙聽見就停工，不修築拉瑪了。

And when Baasha heard this, he stopped building Ramah and ceased his work.

16:6

於是亞撒王帶領猶大眾人，將巴沙修築拉瑪所用的石頭、木頭都運走，用以修築迦巴和米斯巴。

And Asa the king took all Judah, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Baasha had built it, and built Geba and Mizpah with them.

16:7

那時，先見哈拿尼來見猶大王亞撒，對他說，因你倚靠亞蘭王，沒有倚靠耶和華你的神，所以亞蘭王的軍兵逃脫了你的手。

And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa the king of Judah and said to him, Because you have trusted in the king of Syria and have not trusted in Jehovah your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.

16:8

古實人、路比人的軍隊不是甚大麼？戰車馬兵不是極多麼？只因你倚靠耶和華，祂便將他們交在你手裏。

Were not the Cushites and the Lubim a large host, with a very great abundance of chariots and horsemen? And because you trusted in Jehovah, He gave them into your hands.

16:9

耶和華的眼目遍察全地，要加強那些心中純全向著祂的人。你這事行得愚昧；此後，你必有爭戰的事。

For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout all the earth to strengthen those whose heart is perfect toward Him. You have acted foolishly in this matter; hence from this time on you will have wars.

16:10

亞撒因此惱恨先見，向他發怒，將他囚在監裏，上了枷鎖。那時亞撒也虐待一些人民。

Then Asa became angry with the seer and put him in prison in stocks, for he was in a rage against him because of this matter. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.

16:11

亞撒所行的事，自始至終都寫在猶大和以色列諸王記上。

And the acts of Asa, the first and the last, are there written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

16:12

亞撒作王第三十九年，腳患了病，而且甚重；然而他即使在病中，也沒有尋求耶和華，只尋求醫生。

And in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet; his disease was very severe, yet even in his disease he pursued not Jehovah but the physicians.

16:13

亞撒作王四十一年而死，與他列祖同睡，

And Asa slept with his fathers and died in the forty-first year of his reign.

16:14

人將他葬在大衛城他為自己所鑿的墳墓裏，放在床上，其床堆滿各樣香料，就是按調製香品者之法複合成的香料，又為他燒了許多的物件。

And they buried him in his own grave, which he had hewn out for himself in the city of David. And they laid him in the resting place, which he had filled with various kinds of spices blended in the perfumer's art, and they made a very great burning for him.

使徒行傳 Acts 8:4-25

8:4

那些分散的人就往各處去，傳神的話為福音。

Those therefore who were scattered went throughout the land announcing the word as the gospel.

8:5

腓利下撒瑪利亞城去，向他們傳揚基督。

And Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed the Christ to them.

8:6

群眾聽見了，又看見腓利所行的神蹟，就同心合意的注意他所說的話。

And the crowds gave heed with one accord to the things said by Philip as they heard and saw the signs which he did.

8:7

因為有許多人被污靈附著，那些污靈大聲呼叫，就出來了；還有許多癱瘓的和瘸腿的，也都治好了。

For with many of those who had unclean spirits, the spirits came out crying with a loud voice; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

8:8

在那城裏，就大有歡樂。

And there was much joy in that city.

8:9

有一個人名叫西門，向來在那城裏行邪術，自稱大人物，使撒瑪利亞的百姓驚奇，

And a certain man named Simon had previously been practicing magic in the city and had been amazing the people of Samaria, saying that he was someone great.

8:10

眾人從小到大都注意他，說，這人就是神的能力，那稱為大的。

To him they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the power of God which is called Great.

8:11

他們注意他，因為他長久用邪術使他們驚奇。

And they gave heed to him because for a considerable time he had amazed them with his magic.

8:12

及至他們信了腓利所傳神的國和耶穌基督之名的福音，連男帶女就受了浸。

But when they believed Philip, who announced the gospel of the kingdom of God and of the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

8:13

連西門自己也信了，既受了浸，就常與腓利在一處，看見他所行的神蹟和大異能，就甚驚奇。

And even Simon himself believed, and once he had been baptized, he continued steadfastly with Philip. And as he beheld the signs and great works of power taking place, he was amazed.

8:14

使徒在耶路撒冷，聽見撒瑪利亞人領受了神的話，就打發彼得、約翰往他們那裏去，

Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,

8:15

既到了，就為他們禱告，要叫他們受聖靈；

Who went down and prayed for them so that they might receive the Holy Spirit;

8:16

因為聖靈還沒有降在他們任何人身上，他們只是浸入主耶穌的名裏。

For He had not yet fallen upon any of them, but they had only been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

8:17

於是使徒按手在他們身上，他們就受了聖靈。

Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

8:18

西門看見藉著使徒的按手，便有那靈賜下，就拿錢給他們，說，

But when Simon saw that through the laying on of the hands of the apostles the Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying,

8:19

把這權柄也給我，叫我手按著誰，誰就可以受聖靈。

Give me also this authority that on whomever I lay my hands he may receive the Holy Spirit.

8:20

彼得對他說，你的銀子和你一同毀壞吧，因你以為神的恩賜，是可以用錢買得的。

But Peter said to him, May your silver go with you into destruction, because you thought that you would acquire the gift of God through money.

8:21

你在這事上無分無關，因為在神面前你的心不正。

You have no part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not straight before God.

8:22

你當悔改，離棄這惡，祈求主，或者你心裏的意念可得赦免；

Repent therefore from this wickedness of yours and beseech the Lord if perhaps the intent of your heart may be forgiven you;

8:23

因為我看出你正在苦膽之中，被不義捆綁。

For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of unrighteousness.

8:24

西門回答說，願你們為我祈求主，叫你們所說的，沒有一樣臨到我身上。

And Simon answered and said, You beseech the Lord on my behalf, so that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me.

8:25

使徒既鄭重見證並講論了主的話，就回耶路撒冷去，一路在撒瑪利亞好些村莊傳揚福音。

They therefore, having solemnly testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem; and they announced the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.
