耶利米書Jeremiah 9:1-10:25
9:1
但願我的頭為眾水，我的眼為淚的泉源，我好為我百姓中被殺的人，晝夜哭泣！
Oh, that my head were waters, And my eye a fountain of tears, That I might weep day and night For the slain of the daughter of my people!
9:2
惟願我在曠野有行路人住宿之處，使我可以離開我的民出去，因他們都是行姦淫的，是行詭詐的會眾。
Oh, that I had a traveler's lodging place in the wilderness That I might leave my people and go away from them, For all of them are adulterers and an assembly of treacherous men.
9:3
他們彎起舌頭像弓一樣；在這地得勢的，是謊言而非真理；他們乃是惡上加惡，並不認識我；這是耶和華說的。
They bend their tongue like their bow; Falsehood, and not truth, Prevails in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me, declares Jehovah.
9:4
你們各人當謹防鄰舍，不可信靠弟兄；因為弟兄盡行抓奪，鄰舍都往來讒謗人。
Let each man be on guard against his neighbor And not confide in any brother; For every brother only supplants, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.
9:5
他們各人欺哄鄰舍，不說真話；他們教導舌頭說謊，勞勞碌碌的作孽。
And everyone deceives his neighbor And does not speak the truth; They teach their tongue to speak falsehood; They weary themselves committing iniquity.
9:6
你的住處在詭詐之中；他們因行詭詐不肯認識我；這是耶和華說的。
Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me, Declares Jehovah.
9:7
所以萬軍之耶和華如此說，我要熬煉、試驗他們；不然，我因我百姓的罪該怎樣行呢？
Therefore thus says Jehovah of hosts, Indeed, I will refine them and test them; For what else can I do because of the daughter of My people?
9:8
他們的舌頭是致命的箭，說話詭詐。人與鄰舍口說和平話，心卻謀害他。
Their tongue is a deadly arrow; It speaks deceit. Each speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, But in his heart he lays an ambush for him.
9:9
耶和華說，我豈不因這些事討他們的罪麼？我魂豈不報復這樣的國麼？
Shall I not punish them for these things? Declares Jehovah; And on a nation such as this Shall My soul not avenge itself?
9:10
我要為山嶺哭泣舉哀，為曠野的草場揚聲哀號，因為都已燒盡，甚至無人經過，人也聽不見牲畜鳴叫；空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸，都已逃去。
For the mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing, And for the pastures of the wilderness, a lamentation; Because they have been burned up so that no one passes through, And the sound of cattle is not heard; Both the birds of the sky and the beasts Have fled and have gone.
9:11
我必使耶路撒冷變為亂堆，為野狗的住處；也必使猶大的城邑變為荒場，無人居住。
And I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, A habitation of jackals; And I will make the cities of Judah A desolation without inhabitant.
9:12
誰是智慧人可以明白這事？耶和華的口向誰說過，使他可以述說？這地為何毀滅，燒盡如同曠野，甚至無人經過？
Who is the wise man who can understand this, and he to whom the mouth of Jehovah has spoken, that he might declare it? Why is the land destitute, burned like the wilderness, so that no one passes through?
9:13
耶和華說，因為這百姓離棄我在他們面前所設立的律法，沒有聽從我的話，也沒有遵行我的律法；
And Jehovah said, Because they have forsaken My law, which I set before them, and have not listened to My voice or walked in My law,
9:14
只隨從自己頑梗的心而行，照他們列祖所教訓的，隨從眾巴力；
But have walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them;
9:15
所以萬軍之耶和華以色列的神如此說，我必將茵蔯給這百姓喫，又將苦毒的水給他們喝。
Therefore thus says Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood and give them poisonous water to drink.
9:16
我要把他們分散在列國中，就是他們和他們列祖素不認識的列國；我也要打發刀劍追殺他們，直到將他們滅盡。
And I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers knew, and send the sword after them until I have consumed them.
9:17
萬軍之耶和華如此說，你們應當思想，將唱哀歌的婦女召來，又打發人召靈巧的婦女來；
Thus says Jehovah of hosts, Consider, and call for the mourning women to come, And send for the skillful women to come;
9:18
叫她們速速為我們舉哀，使我們眼淚汪汪，使我們的眼皮湧出水來。
Let them hasten and take up a wailing for us, That our eyes may shed tears And our eyelids may pour forth water.
9:19
因為聽見哀聲出於錫安，說，我們是怎樣的敗落！我們大大的蒙羞！因為我們撇下了這地，因為人拆毀了我們的住處。
For a voice of wailing Was heard from Zion: How we are ruined! We are utterly put to shame! For we have forsaken the land Because they have cast down our dwellings.
9:20
婦女們哪，你們當聽耶和華的話，你們的耳朵要領受祂口中的言語；又當教導你們的女兒哀哭，各人教導自己的鄰舍唱哀歌。
Therefore listen, O women, to the word of Jehovah, And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; And teach your daughters wailing, And let each teach her neighbor a lamentation.
9:21
因為死亡已經上來，進了我們的窗戶，入了我們的宮殿，要從街道上剪除孩童，從寬闊處剪除少年人。
For death has come up through our windows; It has entered our palaces To cut off the children from the streets, The young men from the open squares.
9:22
你當說，耶和華如此說，人的屍首必倒在田野像糞土，又像收割的人遺落的一把禾稼，無人收取。
Speak: Thus declares Jehovah, And the corpses of men will fall Like dung on the surface of the field And like a sheaf after the reaper, And there will be no one to gather them.
9:23
耶和華如此說，智慧人不要因他的智慧誇口，勇士不要因他的勇力誇口，財主不要因他的財物誇口；
Thus says Jehovah, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, And let not the mighty man glory in his might; Let not the rich man glory in his riches.
9:24
誇口的卻因他有聰明，認識我是耶和華，又知道我喜悅在地上施行慈愛、公理和公義，以此誇口；這是耶和華說的。
But let him who glories glory in this, That he has insight and knows Me, That I am Jehovah who exercises lovingkindness, Justice, and righteousness on earth; For in these things I delight, declares Jehovah.
9:25
耶和華說，日子將到，我要懲罰一切受過割禮，心卻沒有受割禮的；
Indeed, days are coming, declares Jehovah, when I will punish all those who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised:
9:26
我要懲罰埃及、猶大、以東、亞捫人、摩押、和一切住在曠野剃周圍鬍鬚的；因為列國人都沒有受割禮，以色列全家心中也沒有受割禮。
Egypt and Judah and Edom and the children of Ammon and Moab and all those who cut the corners of their beards, who inhabit the wilderness; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart.
10:1
以色列家阿，要聽耶和華對你們所說的話。
Hear the word which Jehovah speaks to you, O house of Israel.
10:2
耶和華如此說，你們不要學列國的行徑，也不要為天象驚惶，雖然列國為此事驚惶。
Thus says Jehovah, Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens, Although the nations are terrified by them.
10:3
眾民的風俗是虛空的，他們的神是從樹林中砍下的樹，是匠人用斧子作成的手工。
For the customs of the peoples are vanity, Because their god is a tree cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with an ax.
10:4
他用金銀妝飾，用釘子和錘子釘牢，使它不動搖。
He adorns it with silver and with gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it cannot totter.
10:5
它們好像瓜田裏的柱子，不能說話；它們不能行走，必須有人抬著。你們不要怕它們，因為它們不能降禍，也無力降福。
They are like a post in a cucumber field, And they cannot speak; They must be carried Because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, And neither is it in them to do good.
10:6
耶和華阿，沒有像你的；你本為大，你的名大有能力。
There is none like You, O Jehovah; You are great, And Your name is great in might.
10:7
萬國的王阿，誰不敬畏你？敬畏你本是合宜的，因為在列國的智慧人中，並萬國之中，沒有像你的。
Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For it befits You, For among all the wise of the nations And in all their kingdoms There is none like You.
10:8
他們盡都是愚蠢、愚昧的；偶像的訓誨算甚麼？它不過是木頭。
But they are altogether stupid and foolish; The instruction of their idols is mere wood.
10:9
有銀子打成片，是從他施帶來的，並有從烏法來的金子，都是匠人的作品和金匠的手工；又有藍色紫色料的衣服，都是巧匠的作品。
Beaten silver Is brought from Tarshish, And gold from Uphaz, The work of a craftsman And of the hands of a goldsmith. Their clothing is blue and purple; All of them are the work of skillful men.
10:10
惟耶和華是真神，是活神，是永遠的王。祂一發怒，地就震動；祂一惱恨，列國都抵受不住。
But Jehovah is the true God; He is the living God and the eternal King. At His wrath the earth quakes, And the nations cannot endure His indignation.
10:11
你們要對他們如此說，那些不是造作天地的神，必從地上、從天下滅亡。
Thus you shall say to them, The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth, these will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.
10:12
耶和華用能力造作大地，用智慧建立世界，用聰明鋪張諸天。
It is He who made the earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom, And by His understanding He stretched out the heavens.
10:13
祂一發聲，空中便有多水激動；祂使雲霧從地極上升；祂為雨造閃電，從祂府庫中帶出風來。
When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, And He causes the vapors to rise from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain And brings forth wind from His treasuries.
10:14
各人都愚蠢，毫無知識；各金匠都因自己雕製的偶像羞愧；他所鑄的像是虛假的，其中並無氣息。
Every man is stupid, without knowledge; Every goldsmith is put to shame by his idol; For his molten image is falsehood, And there is no breath in them.
10:15
這些都是虛無的，是迷惑人的作品；到討罪的時候，必要滅亡。
They are vanity, the work of delusion; At the time of their punishment they will perish.
10:16
雅各的分不像這些；因祂是形成萬有的，以色列也是祂產業的支派；萬軍之耶和華是祂的名。
The Portion of Jacob is not like these; For He is the One who formed everything, And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance; Jehovah of hosts is His name.
10:17
受圍困的居民哪，從地上收拾你的包袱罷。
Gather up your bundle from the ground, O inhabitant under siege.
10:18
因為耶和華如此說，這時候我必將此地的居民甩出去，又必將困苦加在他們身上，使他們受困苦。
For thus says Jehovah, I will sling out The inhabitants of the land At this time, And I will bring distress on them, That they may find it.
10:19
民說，禍哉，我受損傷！我的創傷嚴重。我卻說，這真是我的痛苦，我必須忍受。
Woe is me because of my hurt! My wound is grievous. But I said, Truly this is my 1affliction, And I must bear it.
10:20
我的帳棚毀壞，我的繩索都折斷了。我的兒女離我出去，沒有了。無人再支搭我的帳棚，掛起我的幔子。
My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken; My children have gone from me and they are not; There is no one who will spread out my tent again And set up my curtains.
10:21
因為牧人都是愚蠢，沒有尋求耶和華；所以他們不得順利，他們的羊群也都分散。
For the shepherds are stupid And have not sought Jehovah; Therefore they have not prospered, And all their flock is scattered.
10:22
有風聲！敵人來了，有大擾亂從北方之地出來，要使猶大城邑變為荒涼，成為野狗的住處。
The sound of a report! Here it comes, Even a great commotion from the land of the north, To make the cities of Judah A desolation, a habitation of jackals.
10:23
耶和華阿，我曉得人的道路不由自己；行走的人，也不能定自己的腳步。
I know, O Jehovah, That a man's way is not in himself; It is not in the man who walks To direct his step.
10:24
耶和華阿，求你適度管教我；不要在你的怒中管教我，恐怕使我歸於無有。
Correct me, O Jehovah, but in measure, Not in Your anger lest You bring me to nothing.
10:25
願你將忿怒傾在不認識你的列國中，和不呼求你名的各族上；因為他們吞了雅各，不但吞了而且滅絕，把他的住處變為荒場。
Pour out Your wrath on the nations Who do not know You And upon the families Who do not call upon Your name; For they have consumed Jacob, yes, consumed him and brought him to an end, And they have desolated his habitation.
新約New Testament：
提摩太前書 1Timothy 1:1-20
1:1
照著神我們的救主、和基督耶穌我們的盼望的命令，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅，
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,
1:2
寫信給那憑信作我真孩子的提摩太：願恩典、憐憫、平安，從父神和我們的主基督耶穌歸與你。
To Timothy, genuine child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
1:3
我往馬其頓去的時候，曾勸你仍住在以弗所，好囑咐那幾個人，不可教導與神的經綸不同的事，
Even as I exhorted you, when I was going into Macedonia, to remain in Ephesus in order that you might charge certain ones not to teach different things
1:4
也不可注意虛構無稽之事，和無窮的家譜；這等事只引起辯論，對於神在信仰裏的經綸並無助益。
Nor to give heed to myths and unending genealogies, which produce questionings rather than God's economy, which is in faith.
1:5
這囑咐的目的乃是愛，這愛是出於清潔的心、無虧的良心、並無偽的信心。
But the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and out of a good conscience and out of unfeigned faith;
1:6
有人失去目標，偏離這些，轉向虛空的談論，
From which things some, having misaimed, have turned aside to vain talking,
1:7
想要作律法的教師，卻不明白自己所講說、所斷定的。
Desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither the things that they say, nor concerning what they confidently affirm.
1:8
我們曉得律法是好的，只要人用得合法，
But we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully
1:9
知道律法不是為義人設立的，乃是為不法和不服的、不敬虔和犯罪的、不聖和世俗的、毆打父母的、殺人的、
And knows this, that the law is not enacted for a righteous man but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and those who strike their mothers, for murderers,
1:10
淫亂的、同性戀的、拐人的、說謊的、起假誓的、以及其他敵對健康教訓之事設立的，
For fornicators, homosexuals, kidnappers, liars, perjurers, and whatever other thing that is opposed to the healthy teaching,
1:11
這是照著那託付與我，可稱頌之神榮耀的福音說的。
According to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
1:12
我感謝那加我能力的，我們的主基督耶穌，因祂以我為忠信，派我盡職事。
I give thanks to Him who empowers me, Christ Jesus our Lord, that He has counted me faithful, appointing me to the ministry,
1:13
我從前是褻瀆神的、逼迫人的、侮慢人的；然而我蒙了憐憫，因我是在不信中，無知而作的。
Who formerly was a blasphemer and a persecutor and an insulting person; but I was shown mercy because, being ignorant, I acted in unbelief.
1:14
並且我們主的恩是格外增多，使我在基督耶穌裏有信，又有愛。
And the grace of our Lord superabounded with faith and love in Christ Jesus.
1:15
基督耶穌降世，為要拯救罪人，這話是可信的，是值得完全接受的；在罪人中我是個罪魁。
Faithful is the word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.
1:16
然而，我所以蒙了憐憫，是要叫耶穌基督在我這罪魁身上，顯示祂一切的恆忍，給後來信靠祂得永遠生命的人作榜樣。
But because of this I was shown mercy, that in me, the foremost, Jesus Christ might display all His long-suffering for a pattern to those who are to believe on Him unto eternal life.
1:17
但願尊貴榮耀歸與那永世的君王，就是那不能朽壞、不能看見、獨一的神，直到永永遠遠。阿們。
Now to the King of the ages, incorruptible, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1:18
孩子提摩太，我照從前指著你所說的豫言，將這囑咐交託你，叫你憑這些豫言，可以打那美好的仗，
This charge I commit to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you might war the good warfare,
1:19
持守信心和無虧的良心；有人丟棄這些，就在信仰上猶如船破，
Holding faith and a good conscience, concerning which some, thrusting these away, have become shipwrecked regarding the faith;
1:20
其中有許米乃和亞力山大，我已經把他們交給撒但，使他們受管教，不再謗讟。
Of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered to Satan that they may be disciplined not to blaspheme.
