士師記 Judges 8:33-10:5
8:33
基甸死後，以色列人又轉去隨從諸巴力行邪淫，以巴力比利土為他們的神。
And as soon as Gideon died, the children of Israel turned again and went as harlots after the Baals. And they made Baal-berith their god.
8:34
以色列人不記念耶和華他們的神，就是拯救他們脫離四圍眾仇敵之手的；
And the children of Israel did not remember Jehovah their God, who had delivered them from the hand of all their enemies all around;
8:35
也不照著耶路巴力，就是基甸，向以色列所行一切的善，以恩慈待他的家。
Nor did they show mercy to the house of Jerubbaal, that is, Gideon, for all the good he had done to Israel.
9:1
耶路巴力的兒子亞比米勒，到了示劍見他的眾母舅，對他們和他外祖全家的人說，
Then Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem to his mother's brothers; and he spoke to them and to all the family of the house of his mother's father, saying,
9:2
請你們說給示劍所有的居民聽：是耶路巴力的眾子七十人都管理你們好呢？還是一人管理你們好？你們又要記念我是你們的骨肉。
Speak now in the hearing of all the lords of Shechem, What is better for you, that all the sons of Jerubbaal, seventy men, rule over you, or that one man rule over you? Now remember that I am your bone and your flesh.
9:3
他的眾母舅便將這一切話為他說給示劍的居民聽；示劍人的心就歸向亞比米勒，因為他們說，他原是我們的弟兄。
And his mother's brothers spoke of him in the hearing of all the lords of Shechem with all these words; and their heart inclined toward Abimelech, for they said, He is our brother.
9:4
他們從巴力比利土的廟中取了七十錠銀子給亞比米勒；亞比米勒用這銀子雇了些無賴放蕩之徒，他們便跟隨他。
And they gave him seventy pieces of silver from the house of Baal-berith. And with it Abimelech hired worthless and wanton men, and they followed after him.
9:5
他往俄弗拉到他父親的家，將他的弟兄，耶路巴力的眾子七十人都殺在一塊石頭上；只剩下耶路巴力的小兒子約坦，因為他躲藏了。
And he went to his father's house in Ophrah and slew his brothers, the sons of Jerubbaal, seventy men, on one stone; but Jotham, the youngest son of Jerubbaal, was left, for he hid himself.
9:6
示劍所有的居民和米羅全家一同聚集，往示劍柱子的橡樹旁，立亞比米勒為王。
Then all the lords of Shechem and all the house of Millo gathered, and they went and made Abimelech king at the terebinth of the pillar that was in Shechem.
9:7
有人將這事告訴約坦，他就去站在基利心山頂上，向眾人大聲喊叫，說，示劍的居民哪，你們要聽我的話，神也就聽你們的話。
And when Jotham was told, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim and lifted up his voice and called out and said to them, Listen to me, you lords of Shechem, that God may listen to you.
9:8
有一次，眾樹要去膏一樹作他們的王，就去對橄欖樹說，請你作我們的王。
The trees once went forth to anoint a king over themselves. And they said to the olive tree, Reign over us.
9:9
橄欖樹對他們說，我豈可停止生產我那尊重神和人的油，去飄颻在眾樹之上呢？
But the olive tree said to them, Shall I leave my fatness, because of which God and men are honored by me, and go to wave over the trees?
9:10
眾樹對無花果樹說，請你來作我們的王。
Then the trees said to the fig tree, You come and reign over us.
9:11
無花果樹對他們說，我豈可停止結出我的甘甜和美果，去飄颻在眾樹之上呢？
But the fig tree said to them, Shall I leave my sweetness and my good fruit, and go to wave over the trees?
9:12
眾樹對葡萄樹說，請你來作我們的王。
Then the trees said to the vine, You come and reign over us.
9:13
葡萄樹對他們說，我豈可停止生產我那使神和人喜樂的新酒，去飄颻在眾樹之上呢？
But the vine said to them, Shall I leave my new wine, which cheers God and men, and go to wave over the trees?
9:14
於是所有的樹對荊棘說，請你來作我們的王。
So all the trees said to the bramble, You come and reign over us.
9:15
荊棘對他們說，你們若真誠的膏我為王，就要來投靠在我的蔭下；不然，願火從荊棘裏出來，燒滅利巴嫩的香柏樹。
And the bramble said to the trees, If you are truly anointing me as king over you, come and take refuge under my shade; but if not, may fire come forth from the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon!
9:16
現在你們若憑真誠和正直而行，立亞比米勒為王，若善待耶路巴力和他的家，照他手當得的待他；
Now therefore if you have dealt truly and with integrity in making Abimelech king, and if you have dealt in a good way toward Jerubbaal and toward his house, and if you have dealt with him as his hands have deserved -
9:17
(從前我父為你們爭戰，冒著性命的危險，救了你們脫離米甸人的手。
(For my father fought for you and risked his life, and he delivered you from the hand of Midian.
9:18
你們如今卻起來攻擊我的父家，將他眾子七十人殺在一塊石頭上，又立他婢女所生的兒子亞比米勒為示劍居民的王；他原是你們的弟兄；)
But you have risen up today against the house of my father and have slain his sons, seventy men, on one stone; and you have made Abimelech the son of his female servant king over the lords of Shechem, for he is your brother.)
9:19
你們如今若憑真誠和正直待耶路巴力和他的家，就可因亞比米勒喜樂，他也可因你們喜樂；
Now if you have dealt truly and with integrity toward Jerubbaal and toward his house today, then rejoice in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you.
9:20
不然，願火從亞比米勒發出，燒滅示劍的居民和米羅家，又願火從示劍居民和米羅家發出，燒滅亞比米勒。
But if not, may fire come forth from Abimelech and devour the men of Shechem and the house of Millo, and may fire come forth from the lords of Shechem and the house of Millo and devour Abimelech!
9:21
約坦因怕他弟兄亞比米勒，就逃跑，來到比珥，住在那裏。
And Jotham ran off and fled, and he came to Beer and remained there because of Abimelech his brother.
9:22
亞比米勒管理以色列人三年。
And Abimelech was prince over Israel three years.
9:23
神打發惡靈到亞比米勒和示劍的居民中間，示劍的居民就以詭詐待亞比米勒；
And God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the lords of Shechem, and the lords of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech,
9:24
這是要叫耶路巴力七十個兒子所受的殘害得著報復，又叫那流他們血的罪歸與他們的弟兄亞比米勒，就是那殺害他們的，並歸與幫助他殺弟兄的示劍居民。
So that the violence done to the seventy sons of Jerubbaal might be avenged and so that their blood might be put upon Abimelech their brother, who slew them, and upon the lords of Shechem, who strengthened his hands to slay his brothers.
9:25
示劍的居民在山頂上設埋伏，等候亞比米勒；凡路過他們那裏的人，他們就搶奪。有人將這事告訴亞比米勒。
And the lords of Shechem set men in ambush for him on the tops of the mountains, and they robbed everyone who passed by them on the way; and Abimelech was told.
9:26
以別的兒子迦勒和他的弟兄來到示劍，示劍的居民都信靠他。
And Gaal the son of Ebed came with his brothers and went over to Shechem, and the lords of Shechem put their trust in him.
9:27
示劍的居民出城到田間去，摘取葡萄園的葡萄，踹酒，擺設感謝宴，進他們神的廟中喫喝，咒詛亞比米勒。
And they went out into the field and gathered the grapes of their vineyards and trod them, and had a festival. And they went to the house of their god and ate and drank, and they cursed Abimelech.
9:28
以別的兒子迦勒說，亞比米勒是誰？我們示劍人是誰，竟要服事他？他不是耶路巴力的兒子麼？他的官員不是西布勒麼？你們要服事示劍的父親哈抹的後人；我們為何要服事亞比米勒呢？
And Gaal the son of Ebed said, Who is Abimelech and who are we of Shechem, that we should serve him? Is he not the son of Jerubbaal, and is not Zebul his officer? Serve the men of Hamor, the father of Shechem; but why should we serve this man?
9:29
惟願這民交在我的手下，我就除掉亞比米勒。迦勒又對亞比米勒說，增添你的軍兵出來罷！
But oh that this people were put in my hand, then I would remove Abimelech. And he said of Abimelech, Increase your army and come out!
9:30
那城的官長西布勒聽見以別的兒子迦勒的話，就發怒，
When Zebul the ruler of the city heard the words of Gaal the son of Ebed, his anger burned.
9:31
打發使者去多珥瑪見亞比米勒，說，以別的兒子迦勒和他的弟兄到了示劍，煽惑城中的民攻擊你。
And he sent messengers to Abimelech in Tormah, saying, Gaal the son Ebed and his brothers have now come to Shechem, and now they are stirring up the city against you.
9:32
現在你和跟隨你的人今夜起來，在田間埋伏；
And now rise up at night, you and the people with you, and wait in ambush in the field;
9:33
到早晨太陽一出，你就早早起來闖城。迦勒和跟隨他的人出來攻擊你的時候，你便向他們見機而作。
And in the morning, as soon as the sun rises, you shall rise up early and rush on the city. And right when he and the people with him come out against you, you shall do with him as you find occasion.
9:34
於是，亞比米勒和跟隨他的眾人夜間起來，分作四隊，向著示劍設下埋伏。
And Abimelech and all the people with him rose up at night and waited in ambush against Shechem in four companies.
9:35
以別的兒子迦勒出去，站在城門口。亞比米勒和跟隨他的人從埋伏之處起來。
And Gaal the son of Ebed went out and stood in the entrance of the gate of the city. And Abimelech and the people with him rose up from the ambush.
9:36
迦勒看見那些人，就對西布勒說，看哪，有人從山頂上下來了。西布勒說，你看見山的影子，以為是人。
And when Gaal saw the people, he said to Zebul, Look, people are coming down from the tops of the mountains. But Zebul said to him, You are seeing the shadow of the mountains as though they were men.
9:37
迦勒又說，看哪，有人從地的高處下來，又有一隊從米惡尼尼橡樹的路上而來。
And Gaal spoke again and said, Look, people are coming down from the height of the land, and one company is coming by the way of the terebinth of Meonenim.
9:38
西布勒對他說，你曾說，亞比米勒是誰，我們竟要服事他？你所誇的口在那裏呢？這不是你所藐視的民麼？你現在出去，與他們交戰罷。
Then Zebul said to him, Where is your boast now, that you said, Who is Abimelech that we should serve him? Is not this the people that you despised? Go out now, and fight them.
9:39
於是迦勒率領示劍的居民出去，與亞比米勒交戰。
So Gaal went out before the lords of Shechem and fought with Abimelech.
9:40
亞比米勒追趕迦勒，迦勒在他面前逃跑；有許多受傷僕倒的，直到城門口。
And Abimelech pursued him, and Gaal fled from before him. And many wounded fell, up to the entrance of the gate.
9:41
亞比米勒住在亞魯瑪。西布勒趕出迦勒和他的弟兄們，不准他們住在示劍。
And Abimelech dwelt in Arumah. And Zebul drove out Gaal and his brothers, so that they could not dwell in Shechem.
9:42
次日，民出到田間，有人告訴亞比米勒；
Then on the next day the people went out into the field, and Abimelech was told.
9:43
他就把他的人分作三隊，埋伏在田間，看見有人從城裏出來，就起來擊殺他們。
And he took his people and divided them into three companies, and he waited in ambush in the field. And he looked, and there were the people coming out of the city. And he rose up against them and struck them.
9:44
亞比米勒和跟隨他的隊伍向前闖去，站在城門口；有兩隊直闖到田間的眾人那裏，把他們擊殺了。
And Abimelech and the companies that were with him rushed forward and stood at the entrance of the gate of the city, and two companies rushed upon all those who were in the field and struck them.
9:45
亞比米勒整天攻打城，將城奪取，殺了其中的人，將城拆毀，撒上了鹽。
And Abimelech fought against the city all that day. And he took the city, and the people who were in it he slew; and he tore down the city and sowed it with salt.
9:46
示劍樓的居民聽見了，就躲入巴力比利土廟的衛所。
And when the lords of the tower of Shechem heard of it, they went to the stronghold of the house of El-berith.
9:47
有人告訴亞比米勒說，示劍樓的居民都聚在一處。
And Abimelech was told that all the lords of the tower of Shechem had gathered together.
9:48
亞比米勒和跟隨他的人就都上撒們山。亞比米勒手拿斧子，砍下一根樹枝，扛在肩上，對跟隨他的人說，你們看我所行的，也當趕緊照樣行。
And Abimelech went up to Mount Zalmon, he and all the people who were with him. And Abimelech took an ax in his hand and cut down a tree limb. And he lifted it up and put it on his shoulder, and he said to the people who were with him, What you see me doing, hurry and do as I have done.
9:49
眾人也就各砍一枝，跟隨亞比米勒，把樹枝對著衛所堆起來，放火燒裏面的人，把衛所燒了，以致示劍樓的人也都死了，男女約有一千。
So all the people also cut down each a limb. And they followed after Abimelech and set the limbs against the stronghold. And they set the stronghold on fire over them, so that all the men of the tower of Shechem also died, about a thousand men and women.
9:50
亞比米勒到提備斯，對著提備斯安營，就攻取了那城。
Then Abimelech went to Thebez; and he encamped against Thebez and took it.
9:51
城中有一座堅固的樓；城裏所有的居民，無論男女，都逃進樓去，把自己關在裏面，上了樓頂。
But there was a strong tower in the middle of the city; and all the men and women and all the lords of the city fled there and shut themselves in; and they went up to the roof of the tower.
9:52
亞比米勒到了樓前，攻打那樓，挨近樓門口，要用火焚燒那樓。
And Abimelech came up to the tower and fought against it. And he came near the entrance of the tower to burn it with fire.
9:53
有一個婦人把一塊上磨石拋在亞比米勒的頭上，打破了他的腦骨。
And a certain woman threw an upper millstone upon Abimelech's head, and it cracked his skull.
9:54
他就急忙喊叫拿他兵器的少年人，對他說，拔出你的刀來，殺了我罷；免得人議論我說，是個婦人殺了他。於是少年人把他刺透，他就死了。
Then he called immediately to the young man who bore his armor and said to him, Draw your sword and kill me; otherwise they will say concerning me, A woman slew him. And his young man pierced him through, and he died.
9:55
以色列人見亞比米勒死了，便各回自己的地方去了。
And when the men of Israel saw that Abimelech was dead, they went away, each to his own place.
9:56
這樣，神報應亞比米勒向他父親所行的惡，就是殺了自己弟兄七十個人。
And God repaid the evil of Abimelech, which he had done to his father by slaying his seventy brothers.
9:57
示劍人的一切惡，神也都報應在他們頭上；耶路巴力的兒子約坦的咒詛歸到他們身上了。
And God brought all the evil of the men of Shechem back upon their own heads, and the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal came upon them.
10:1
亞比米勒以後，有以薩迦人朵多的孫子，普瓦的兒子陀拉興起，拯救以色列人；他住在以法蓮山地的沙密。
And after Abimelech Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, rose up to save Israel; and he dwelt in Shamir in the hill country of Ephraim.
10:2
陀拉作以色列的士師二十三年，就死了，葬在沙密。
And he judged Israel twenty-three years, and he died and was buried in Shamir.
10:3
在他以後有基列人睚珥興起，作以色列的士師二十二年。
And after him Jair the Gileadite rose up and judged Israel twenty-two years.
10:4
他有三十個兒子，騎著三十匹驢；他們有三十座城，叫作哈倭特睚珥，直到今日，都在基列地。
And he had thirty sons, who rode on thirty donkeys; and they had thirty cities (they are called Havvoth-jair to this day), which were in the land of Gilead.
10:5
睚珥死了，就葬在加們。
And Jair died and was buried in Kamon.
新約New Testament：
路加福音 Luke 12:35-48
12:35
你們腰間要束上帶，燈也要點著，
Let your loins be girded and your lamps burning,
12:36
自己好像人等候他們的主人從婚筵上回來，他來到叩門，就立即給他開門。
And you be like men waiting for their own master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.
12:37
主人來了，看見奴僕儆醒，那些奴僕就有福了。我實在告訴你們，主人必自己束上帶，叫他們坐席，進前服事他們。
Blessed are those slaves whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Truly I tell you that he will gird himself and will have them recline at table, and he will come to them and serve them.
12:38
他或是二更天來，或是三更天來，看見他們這樣，那些奴僕就有福了。
And if he comes in the second watch, or if in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.
12:39
但你們要知道，家主若曉得賊在甚麼時刻要來，他就不會容他的房屋被人挖透。
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
12:40
你們也要豫備，因為在你們想不到的時辰，人子就來了。
You also, be ready, because at an hour when you do not expect it, the Son of Man is coming.
12:41
彼得說，主啊，這比喻是對我們說的，還是也對眾人說的？
And Peter said, Lord, are You saying this parable to us, or also to all?
12:42
主說，誰是那忠信又精明的管家，為主人所派，管理他的僕從，按時分糧給他們？
And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and prudent steward, whom the master will set over his service to give them their portion of food at the proper time?
12:43
主人來到，看見他這樣行，那奴僕就有福了。
Blessed is that slave whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
12:44
我實在告訴你們，主人要派他管理一切的家業。
Truly I tell you that he will set him over all his possessions.
12:45
若是那奴僕心裏說，我的主人必來得遲，就動手打僕人和使女，並且喫喝醉酒；
But if that slave says in his heart, My master is delaying his coming, and begins to beat the male servants and the female servants and to eat and to drink and become drunk,
12:46
在想不到的日子，不知道的時辰，那奴僕的主人要來，把他割斷，定他和不信的人同受處分。
The master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know, and will cut him asunder, and will appoint his portion with the unbelievers.
12:47
奴僕知道主人的意思，卻不豫備，或是不照著他的意思行，那奴僕必多受鞭打。
And that slave who knew his master's will and did not prepare or do according to his will, will receive many lashes;
12:48
惟有那不知道的，作了當受鞭打的事，必少受鞭打。多給誰，就向誰多取；多托誰，就向誰格外多要。
But he who did not know, yet did things worthy of stripes, will receive few lashes. But to every one to whom much has been given, much will be required from him; and to whom much has been committed, they will ask of him all the more.
