申命記 Deuteronomy 10:12-11:32
10:12
以色列阿，現在耶和華你神向你所要的是甚麼？只要你敬畏耶和華你的神，行祂一切的道路，愛祂，全心、全魂事奉祂，
And now, O Israel, what does Jehovah your God ask of you except that you fear Jehovah your God so that you would walk in all His ways and love Him and serve Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul;
10:13
遵守耶和華的誡命和律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，為要叫你得福。
So that you would keep the commandments of Jehovah and His statutes, which I am commanding you today, for your good.
10:14
看哪，天和天上的天，地和地上的一切，都屬耶和華你的神。
Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to Jehovah your God, the earth and all that is in it.
10:15
但耶和華只鍾情於你的列祖，愛他們，從萬民中揀選他們的後裔，就是你們，像今日一樣。
But on your fathers Jehovah set His affection to love them and to choose their seed after them, that is, you above all the peoples, as it is this day.
10:16
所以要給你們的心行割禮，不可再硬著頸項；
Circumcise then the foreskin of your heart, and do not be stiff-necked any longer;
10:17
因為耶和華你們的神是萬神之神，萬主之主，至大的神，有能力，又可畏，不以貌取人，也不受賄賂。
For it is Jehovah your God who is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who does not regard persons and does not take bribes;
10:18
祂給孤兒寡婦伸冤，又愛寄居的，賜給他衣食。
He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and He loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.
10:19
所以你們要愛寄居的，因為你們在埃及地也作過寄居的。
Therefore love the sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
10:20
你要敬畏耶和華你的神，事奉祂，緊聯於祂，也要指著祂的名起誓。
You shall fear Jehovah your God; Him shall you serve and to Him shall you hold fast and by His name shall you swear.
10:21
祂是你所讚美的，是你的神，為你作了這些大而可畏的事，是你親眼所看見的。
He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you, which your eyes have seen.
10:22
你的列祖七十人下埃及；現在耶和華你的神使你如同天上的星那樣多。
Your fathers went down into Egypt as seventy souls; and now Jehovah your God has made you as the stars of heaven in multitude.
11:1
所以你要愛耶和華你的神，常守祂的吩咐、律例、典章和誡命。
Therefore you shall love Jehovah your God and keep His charge and His statutes and His judgments and His commandments always.
11:2
你們今日當知道，我並不是和你們的兒女說話；他們不知道，也沒有看見耶和華你們神的管教、偉大、大能的手、和伸出來的膀臂，
And realize today that I am speaking not with your sons, who do not know and who have not seen the discipline of Jehovah your God, His greatness, His mighty hand and His outstretched arm;
11:3
並祂在埃及中向埃及王法老和其全地，所行的神蹟和奇事；
And His signs and works, which He did in the midst of Egypt against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and against all his land;
11:4
也沒有看見祂怎樣待埃及的軍兵、馬匹和戰車，他們追趕你們的時候，耶和華怎樣使紅海的水淹沒他們，將他們滅絕，直到今日，
And what He did to Egypt's forces, to their horses and to their chariots, when He caused the water of the Red Sea to flow over them while they were pursuing you; and Jehovah made them perish to this day;
11:5
並祂在曠野怎樣待你們，直到你們來到這地方；
And what He did for you in the wilderness until you came to this place;
11:6
也沒有看見祂怎樣待流便子孫以利押的兒子大坍、亞比蘭，地怎樣在以色列眾人中間開口，把他們和他們的家眷、帳棚、與跟著他們的一切活物都吞下去。
And what He did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben, when the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up and their households and their tents and all their substance that went with them, from the midst of all Israel.
11:7
惟有你們親眼看見耶和華所作的一切大事。
But it is your eyes that have seen all the great work of Jehovah which He did.
11:8
所以你們要守我今日所吩咐的一切誡命，使你們剛強，能以進去，得你們所要過去得的那地，
Therefore you shall keep the whole commandment which I am commanding you today so that you may be strong and that you may go in and possess the land into which you are crossing over to possess,
11:9
並使你們的日子，在耶和華向你們列祖起誓要賜給他們和他們後裔的地上，得以長久；那是流奶與蜜之地。
And so that you may extend your days upon the ground which Jehovah swore to your fathers, to give to them and to their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey.
11:10
你要進去得為業的那地，並不像你出來的埃及地；你在那裏撒種，用腳澆灌，像澆灌菜園一樣。
For the land which you are entering in to possess is not like the land of Egypt, from which you came forth, where you used to sow your seed and water by foot as in a vegetable garden.
11:11
你們要過去得為業的那地，乃是有山有谷，有天上雨水滋潤之地，
But the land into which you are crossing over to possess is a land of mountains and valleys; by virtue of heaven's rain, it drinks in water.
11:12
是耶和華你神所眷顧的；從歲首到年終，耶和華你神的眼目時常看顧那地。
It is a land which Jehovah your God cares for; always the eyes of Jehovah your God are upon it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year.
11:13
你們若留意聽從我今日所吩咐的誡命，愛耶和華你們的神，全心、全魂事奉祂，
And if you are certain to listen to my commandments, which I am commanding you today, to love Jehovah your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
11:14
我必按時降秋雨春雨在你們的地上，使你們可以收藏五穀、新酒和新油；
I will give rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the late rain, so that you may gather your grain and your new wine and your fresh oil.
11:15
我必使田野為你的牲畜長草；你也必喫得飽足。
And I will put grass in your field for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.
11:16
你們要謹慎，免得心受迷惑，就偏離正路，去事奉跪拜別神；
Be careful lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and bow down to them,
11:17
耶和華的怒氣向你們發作，就使天閉塞不下雨，地也不出產，使你們在耶和華所賜給你們的美地上速速滅亡。
And the anger of Jehovah burn against you and He shut up heaven, so that there is no rain and the earth does not yield its produce and you perish quickly from off the good land which Jehovah is giving you.
11:18
所以你們要將我這些話存在心裏，留在魂中，繫在手上為記號，戴在額上為頭帶；
Therefore you shall lay these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them on your hand as a sign, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes;
11:19
也要教訓你們的兒女，無論你坐在家裏，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論；
And you shall teach them to your children, speaking about them when you sit in your house and when you journey on the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up;
11:20
又要寫在你房屋的門框上，並你的城門上，
And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates;
11:21
使你們和你們子孫的日子，在耶和華向你們列祖起誓要賜給他們的地上，得以增多，如天覆地的日子那樣多。
That your days may be multiplied, as well as the days of your children, upon the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the days of heaven are above the earth.
11:22
你們若留意謹守我所吩咐你們遵行的這一切誡命，愛耶和華你們的神，行祂一切的道路，緊聯於祂，
For if you are certain to keep all this commandment which I am commanding you to do, to love Jehovah your God, to walk in all His ways and hold fast to Him,
11:23
祂必從你們面前趕出這一切國民，你們要把比你們大、比你們強的國民趕出去。
Jehovah will dispossess all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than you.
11:24
凡你們腳掌所踏之地都必歸你們；從曠野和利巴嫩，並伯拉河，直到西海，都要作你們的境界。
Every place on which the sole of your foot treads will be yours; from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even to the farmost sea will be your territory.
11:25
必無一人能在你們面前站立得住；耶和華你們的神必照祂所說的，使你們所踏之地的居民，都因你們驚恐懼怕。
No man will be able to stand against you; Jehovah your God will put the dread and fear of you upon all the land on which you tread, as He has spoken to you.
11:26
看哪，我今日將祝福與咒詛，都陳明在你們面前。
See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:
11:27
你們若聽從耶和華你們神的誡命，就是我今日所吩咐你們的，就必得祝福。
The blessing, if you listen to the commandments of Jehovah your God, which I am commanding you today;
11:28
你們若不聽從耶和華你們神的誡命，偏離我今日所吩咐你們行的道路，去隨從你們素來所不認識的別神，就必受咒詛。
And the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of Jehovah your God and you turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, to go after other gods whom you have not known.
11:29
及至耶和華你的神領你進入要去得為業的那地，你要將祝福的話陳明在基利心山上，將咒詛的話陳明在以巴路山上。
And when Jehovah your God brings you into the land which you are entering to possess, you shall put the blessing upon Mount Gerizim and the curse upon Mount Ebal.
11:30
這二山豈不是在約但河那邊，日落之處，在住亞拉巴的迦南人之地，與吉甲相對，靠近摩利橡樹麼？
Indeed they are across the Jordan beyond the western road in the land of the Canaanites, who dwell in the Arabah before Gilgal beside the terebinths of Moreh.
11:31
你們要過約但河，進去得耶和華你們神所賜你們之地；你們要得那地，並在那地居住。
For you are about to cross over the Jordan to enter and possess the land which Jehovah your God is giving you; and you will possess it and dwell in it.
11:32
你們要謹守遵行我今日在你們面前所陳明的一切律例和典章。
Therefore be certain to do all the statutes and judgments that I am setting before you today.
新約New Testament
路加福音 Luke 1:57-80
1:57
以利沙伯的產期到了，就生了一個兒子。
Now the time was fulfilled for Elizabeth to give birth, and she bore a son.
1:58
鄰里親族聽見主向她大施憐憫，就和她一同歡樂。
And her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had magnified His mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her.
1:59
到了第八日，他們來要給孩子行割禮，並有意照他父親的名字，叫他撒迦利亞。
And on the eighth day they came to circumcise the little child, and they tried to call him after the name of his father, Zachariah.
1:60
但他母親說，不可，要叫他約翰。
Yet his mother answered and said, No, but he shall be called John.
1:61
他們對她說，你親族中沒有叫這名字的。
And they said to her, There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name.
1:62
他們就向他父親打手式，看他願意叫他甚麼。
And they gestured to his father as to what he would want him to be called.
1:63
他要了一塊寫字板，就寫上說，他的名字是約翰。他們便都希奇。
And asking for a tablet, he wrote, saying, John is his name. And they all marveled.
1:64
撒迦利亞的口立時開了，舌頭也舒展了，就說出話來，頌讚神。
And his mouth was opened instantly, and his tongue loosed, and he began to speak, blessing God.
1:65
住在周圍的人都起了敬畏，這一切的事就傳遍了全猶太山地。
And fear came on all those dwelling around them, and in all the hill country of Judea all these things were spread about.
1:66
凡聽見的人，都將這事放在心裏，說，這個孩子將來會怎麼樣？因為主的手與他同在。
And all who heard these things put them in their heart, saying, What then will this little child be? For indeed the hand of the Lord was with him.
1:67
他父親撒迦利亞被聖靈充溢，就申言說，
And Zachariah his father was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying,
1:68
主以色列的神是當受頌讚的，因祂眷顧祂的百姓，為他們施行救贖，
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited and accomplished redemption for His people,
1:69
在祂僕人大衛家中，為我們興起了拯救的角，
And raised a horn of salvation for us in the house of David His servant,
1:70
正如祂從時間起首，藉著聖申言者的口所說的，
Even as He spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from of old --
1:71
拯救我們脫離仇敵，和一切恨我們之人的手；
Salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,
1:72
向我們列祖施憐憫，記念祂的聖約，
To accomplish mercy with our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,
1:73
就是祂對我們祖宗亞伯拉罕所起的誓，
The oath which He swore to Abraham our father,
1:74
叫我們既從仇敵手中被救出來，
To grant us that we, having been delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear,
1:75
就可以一生一世在祂面前，坦然無懼的用聖和義事奉祂。
In holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.
1:76
孩子啊，你要稱為至高者的申言者，因為你要行在主的面前，豫備祂的道路，
And you also, little child, shall be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare His ways,
1:77
叫祂的百姓因罪得赦，就認識救恩。
To give knowledge of salvation to His people by the forgiveness of their sins,
1:78
因我們神憐憫的心腸，叫清晨的日光從高天臨到我們，
Because of the merciful compassions of our God, in which the rising sun will visit us from on high,
1:79
要照亮坐在黑暗中死蔭裏的人，把我們的腳引到平安的路上。
To shine upon those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
1:80
那孩子漸漸長大，靈裏剛強，住在曠野，直到他向以色列人顯明的日子。
And the little child grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in the wilderness until the day of his presentation to Israel.
