23:8
大衛勇士的名字記在下面：他革捫人約設巴設，又稱伊斯尼人亞底挪，他是軍官的統領，一時擊殺了八百人。
These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-basshebeth a Tahchemonite; he was the chief of the captains; the same is Adino the Eznite, who fought against eight hundred who were slain at one time.
23:9
其次是亞合人朵多的兒子以利亞撒；從前非利士人聚集在那裏要打仗，以色列人往上撤退，有跟隨大衛的三個勇士向非利士人罵陣，其中有以利亞撒。
After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the son of an Ahohite, one among the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel went away.
23:10
他起來擊殺非利士人，直到手臂疲乏，手黏住刀把；那日耶和華大行拯救，百姓轉回，在以利亞撒後頭專專剝取財物。
He rose up and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary; and his hand clung to the sword, and Jehovah accomplished a great salvation that day; and the people returned after him, but only to strip the slain.
23:11
其次是哈拉人亞基的兒子沙瑪。一日，非利士人聚集成群，在那裏有一塊長滿紅豆的田，百姓在非利士人面前逃跑。
And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. Now the Philistines were gathered into a troop where there was a plot of land full of lentils, and the people fled before the Philistines.
23:12
沙瑪卻站在那塊田中間，救護那塊田，並擊殺非利士人；耶和華又大行拯救。
But he stationed himself in the midst of the plot and defended it and struck the Philistines, and Jehovah accomplished a great salvation.
23:13
收割的時候，三十個首領中有三個人下到亞杜蘭洞見大衛；有一群非利士人在利乏音谷安營。
Now three of the thirty chief men went down and came to David at harvest time in the cave of Adullam; and the Philistine troop was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
23:14
那時大衛在山寨，非利士人的防營在伯利恆。
Now at that time David was in the stronghold; and the garrison of the Philistines was at that time in Bethlehem.
23:15
大衛渴想，說，甚願有人將伯利恆城門旁、井裏的水打來給我喝！
And David said longingly, If only someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate!
23:16
這三個勇士就闖過非利士人的營，從伯利恆城門旁的井裏打水，拿來奉給大衛。他卻不肯喝，將水奠給耶和華，
And the three mighty men burst through the camp of the Philistines and drew water from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate. And they carried it and brought it to David, but he would not drink it; rather he poured it out to Jehovah.
23:17
說，耶和華阿，我斷不敢作這事！這三個人冒著性命的危險去打水，這水好像他們的血，我豈可喝呢？如此，大衛不肯喝。這些是三個勇士所作的事。
And he said, Far be it from me, O Jehovah, that I should do this! Shall I drink the blood of the men who went at the risk of their lives? Therefore he would not drink it. These things the three mighty men did.
23:18
洗魯雅的兒子，約押的兄弟亞比篩，是這三個勇士的首領；他舉槍殺了三百人，就在三個勇士裏得了名。
And Abishai the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the three. And he brandished his spear against three hundred, who were slain; and he had a name among the three.
23:19
他在這三十個勇士裏是最尊貴的，所以作他們的首領，只是不及前三個勇士。
He was indeed the most honored among the thirty, and he became their leader; but he did not attain to the three.
23:20
有甲薛勇士耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，是大有作為的。他殺了摩押人亞利伊勒的兩個兒子；又在下雪的日子下坑裏去，殺了一隻獅子。
And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man from Kabzeel, was great in mighty deeds. He struck the two sons of Ariel the Moabite; he also went down and struck a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day.
23:21
他又殺了一個壯偉的埃及人；埃及人手裏拿著槍，比拿雅只拿著棍子下去對抗他，從埃及人手裏奪過槍來，用那槍將他殺死。
And he struck an Egyptian, an imposing man. And the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, but he went down to him with a staff and snatched the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian and slew him with his own spear.
23:22
耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅行了這些事，就在三個勇士裏得了名。
These things Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did, and he had a name among the three mighty men.
23:23
他比那三十個勇士都尊貴，只是不及前三個勇士。大衛立他作護衛長。
He was more honored than the thirty, but he did not attain to the three. And David set him over his bodyguard.
23:24
有約押的兄弟亞撒黑，是三十個勇士之一；還有伯利恆人朵多的兒子伊勒哈難；
Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem;
23:25
哈律人沙瑪；哈律人以利加；
Shammah the Harodite; Elika the Harodite;
23:26
帕勒提人希利斯；提哥亞人益吉的兒子以拉；
Helez the Paltite; Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite;
23:27

赫人烏利亞。以上共有三十七人。
Uriah the Hittite. They were thirty- seven in all.
24:1
耶和華又向以色列人發怒，撒但就激動大衛，使他們受害，說，你去數算以色列人和猶大人。
And again the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel; and he moved David against them, saying, Go, number Israel and Judah.
24:2
王對跟隨他的軍隊元帥約押說，你去走遍以色列眾支派，從但直到別是巴，數點百姓，我好知道百姓的數目。
And the king said to Joab the captain of the army, who was with him, Go now throughout all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beer-sheba, and count the people, that I may know the number of the people.
24:3
約押對王說，無論百姓有多少，願耶和華你的神再加增百倍，使我主我王親眼得見。我主我王何必喜悅行這事呢？
And Joab said to the king, Now may Jehovah your God add to the people a hundred times as many as they are, while the eyes of my lord the king may see it. But why does my lord the king desire this thing?
24:4
但王的話勝過約押和眾軍長。約押和眾軍長就從王面前出去，數點以色列的百姓。
Nevertheless the king's word prevailed against Joab and against the captains of the army. And Joab and the captains of the army went forth before the king to count the people of Israel.
24:5
他們過了約但河，在河谷中，城右邊的亞羅珥安營，向迦得和雅謝走去，
And they crossed the Jordan and encamped at Aroer to the right of the city, which was in the midst of the river valley, toward Gad and unto Jazer.
24:6
又到了基列和他停合示地；又到了但雅安，繞到西頓。
Then they came to Gilead and to the land of Tahtim-hodshi, and they came to Dan-jaan and around to Sidon.
24:7
他們來到推羅的保障，並希未人和迦南人所有的城市，又到猶大南方的別是巴。
And they came to the stronghold of Tyre and all the cities of the Hivites and of the Canaanites, and they went on to the south of Judah at Beer-sheba.
24:8
他們走遍全地，過了九個月零二十天，就回到耶路撒冷。
And when they had gone about throughout all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
24:9
約押將所數點百姓的數目呈報于王：以色列拿刀的勇士有八十萬，猶大人有五十萬。
And Joab gave the number of the count of the people to the king. And there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men who drew the sword, and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.
24:10
大衛數算百姓以後，心中自責，就對耶和華說，我行這事是犯大罪了；耶和華阿，現今求你除掉僕人的罪孽，因我所行的甚是愚昧。
And David's heart smote him after he had numbered the people. And David said to Jehovah, I have sinned greatly in what I have done; but now, O Jehovah, put away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly.
24:11
大衛早晨起來，耶和華的話臨到申言者迦得，就是大衛的先見，說，
And when David rose up in the morning, the word of Jehovah came to Gad the prophet, David's seer, saying,
24:12
你去告訴大衛，耶和華如此說，我給你題三樣災，你可以選擇一樣，我好降與你。
Go and speak to David, Thus says Jehovah, I am offering you three things; choose one of them for Me to do for you.
24:13
於是迦得來見大衛，把這些災告訴他，對他說，你願意在你的地上有七年的饑荒臨到呢？是你在敵人面前逃跑，被追趕三個月呢？是在你的地上有三日的瘟疫呢？現在你要思想，看看我該用甚麼話回覆那差我來的。
So Gad went to David and told him these things. And he said to him, Shall seven years of famine come upon you in your land? Or shall you flee before your adversaries for three months while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days of pestilence in your land? Consider now and see what word I should return to Him who sent me.
24:14
大衛對迦得說，我甚為難；我們願落在耶和華的手裏，因為祂有豐盛的憐恤；我不願落在人的手裏。
And David said to Gad, I am in a great strait; let us fall into the hand of Jehovah, for His compassions are great; and do not let me fall into the hand of man.
24:15
於是，耶和華降瘟疫於以色列，自早晨到所定的時候；從但直到別是巴，百姓中死了七萬人。
So Jehovah sent a pestilence in Israel from the morning until the appointed time; and seventy thousand people died among the people from Dan to Beer-sheba.
24:16
天使向耶路撒冷伸手要滅城的時候，耶和華就後悔不降這災；祂對滅民的天使說，彀了，現在住手罷。那時，耶和華的使者在耶布斯人亞勞拿的禾場附近。
And when the angel stretched forth his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, Jehovah repented of the harm. And He said to the angel who destroyed the people, It is enough; now hold back your hand. And the angel of Jehovah was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
24:17
大衛看見那擊殺百姓的天使，就對耶和華說，是我犯了罪，是我行了惡；但這群羊作了甚麼呢？願你的手攻擊我和我的父家。
And David spoke to Jehovah when he saw the angel striking the people and said, It is I who have sinned, and it is I who have acted wickedly. But these sheep, what have they done? Let Your hand, I pray, be against me and against the house of my father.
24:18
當日，迦得來見大衛，對他說，你上去，在耶布斯人亞勞拿的禾場上，為耶和華立一座壇。
And Gad came to David on that day; and he said to him, Go up and raise up an altar to Jehovah on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
24:19
大衛就照著迦得的話，就是耶和華所吩咐的，上去了。
And David went up according to Gad's word, as Jehovah had commanded.
24:20
亞勞拿觀看，見王和王的臣僕向著他走過來，就出去迎接，面伏于地，向王下拜，
And Araunah looked out and saw the king and his servants coming over toward him. And Araunah went forth and bowed down before the king with his face to the ground.
24:21
說，我主我王為何來到僕人這裏呢？大衛說，我要向你買這禾場，為耶和華築一座壇，使百姓中的災疫止住。
And Araunah said, Why has my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshing floor from you to build an altar to Jehovah, that the plague may be stayed among the people.
24:22
亞勞拿對大衛說，我主我王看甚麼為好，就拿去獻上罷。看哪，這裏有牛可以作燔祭，有打糧的器具和套牛的軛可以當柴燒。
And Araunah said to David, May my lord the king take and offer up whatever seems good in his sight. Look, the oxen for the burnt offering and the threshing instruments and the yokes for the oxen for the wood -
24:23
王阿，這一切，我亞勞拿都奉給你；又對王說，願耶和華你的神悅納你。
All this, O king, does Araunah give to the king. Then Araunah said to the king, May Jehovah your God accept you.
24:24
王對亞勞拿說，不然；我必按著價值向你買，我不願用白得之物作燔祭獻給耶和華我的神。大衛就用五十舍客勒銀子買了那禾場與牛。
But the king said to Araunah, No; but I will surely buy it from you for a price, and I will not offer to Jehovah my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
24:25
大衛在那裏為耶和華築了一座壇，獻燔祭和平安祭。如此，耶和華應允國民為那地所懇求的，災疫在以色列人中就止住了。
And there David built an altar to Jehovah, and he offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And Jehovah responded to the entreaty for the land, and the plague was stayed in Israel.

約翰福音 John 2:23-3:13
2:23
當耶穌在耶路撒冷過逾越節的時候，有許多人看見祂所行的神蹟，就信入了祂的名。
Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed into His name when they saw the signs which He did.
2:24
耶穌卻不將自己信託他們，因為祂知道萬人，
But Jesus Himself did not entrust Himself to them, for He knew all men,
2:25
也用不著誰見證人怎樣，因祂知道在人裏面的是甚麼。
And because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.
3:1
但有一個法利賽人，名叫尼哥底母，是猶太人的官。
But there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the JEWS.
3:2
這人夜裏來到耶穌那裏，對祂說，拉比，我們知道你是從神那裏來作教師的，因為你所行的這些神蹟，若沒有神同在，無人能行。
This one came to Him by night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.
3:3
耶穌回答說，我實實在在的告訴你，人若不重生，就不能見神的國。
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
3:4
尼哥底母說，人已經老了，如何能重生？豈能再進母腹生出來麼？
Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?
3:5
耶穌回答說，我實實在在的告訴你，人若不是從水和靈生的，就不能進神的國。
Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
3:6
從肉體生的，就是肉體；從那靈生的，就是靈。
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7
我說，你們必須重生，你不要以為希奇。
Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born anew.
3:8
風隨著意思吹，你聽見風的響聲，卻不曉得從那裏來，往那裏去；凡從那靈生的，就是這樣。
The wind blows where it wills, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from and where it goes; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.
3:9
尼哥底母問祂說，怎能有這事？
Nicodemus answered and said to Him, How can these things be?
3:10
耶穌回答說，你是以色列的教師，還不明白這事麼？
Jesus answered and said to him, You are a teacher of Israel, and you do not know these things?
3:11
我實實在在的告訴你，我們所說的，是我們知道的，我們所見證的，是我們見過的，你們卻不領受我們的見證。
Truly, truly, I say to you, We speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and yet you do not receive our testimony.
3:12
我對你們說地上的事，你們尚且不信，若對你們說天上的事，你們如何能信？
If I told you of the things on earth and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you of the things in heaven?
3:13
除了從天降下仍舊在天的人子，沒有人升過天。
And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
